just a quick correction about a misconception about the shift kits that some of us have had fitted. having a shift kit fitted will actually lower the operating temperature of an automatic box. the faster shifts may cause a little bit more wear on some components, but seeing as the gear changes are so much quicker the box will spend less time in the gear change sequence and therefore less time heating up (slipping) the clutches which is what heats up the oil.

i had my kit installed at MV's and they said with S2 stageas and R34's they have to be set correctly otherwise they can upset the engine ecu by changeing gears to quickly which seems to pull the timing back to far. mine is set pretty spot on as flat out gear shifts bring on the traction control for a second and if the traction control is turned off it will chirp the tyres.
