What i was really wondering, has anyone made over 300rwkw with the standard dumps and then changed to see a notable difference.

HKS 2530's @1.3-1.6 bar

Oil cooler

PFC pro

twin 3" exhaust

forged pistons 8.8CR

linished, shot peened rods

Jun 1.2 metal head gasket

555cc injectors

044 fuel pump

K&N panel filter

oil catch can

2530's on mine @ 1.2bar with std dumps made 275rwkw@4500rpms on a 2wd dyno dynamics in shootout mode we didn't push any further cause the dyno showed the car leaning out big time which was later to be proved wrong so didn't get to do a full power run.

I've got a set of xforce dump pipes (like hks copy's) here which are going on soon after looking at some standered one's they look very restrictive hopefully when we get around to pulling the turbo's off and bolting up these xforce one's will not only make more power but hopefully see full boost earlier on which is very important . If you have everything apart like you say then I would certainly upgrade the dumps as it's much easier to do so and it will be a bottleneck for the 2530's .

we just use those dump pipes which are one big pipe not the split dump set up.

also from looking at all the jap brands i thinkHKS is the only one apart from the new trust dump/front pipe wich use the split style dump pipes.

the first mods we did to our car was a twin 2.5'' into 3'' front pipe with a set of stainless manifolds and the stainless dump pipes.

with useing a boost controller or anything else we were making 215kw at all four wheels.

with a perfect diagonal line up with the revs.

i made custom 3" dump pipes one piece (not split) look very similar to the tomei units for mine in the early days and found them well worth the effect. Better responce and spool up and are still running the same units know at close to 400rwkw

Ok just picked a some Xforce dumps from CRD for $450. They look really nicely made however not perfect. Where the wastegate pipe meets the turbine exhaust pipe there is a lip instead of a smooth transition. I will be grinding this out before installing. Apart from that they are perfect and come with gaskets. Also the pipe size is 47.5mm and then 50mm a cm down after the flange. fine for my 2530's but no good for 2835 and up.

If you want to restrict your turbos, then use the factory dumppipes!!! Good choice on getting a custom set. The factory dumppipes are crap. My brother and I fitted new dumppipes to his car along with N1 turbos. The car sounds a lot throatier now...hence the exhaust has been opened up. Seriously, if you can fit some custom dumps...which you will, you'll be very happy with the result. You will make more power. No doubt about it. Especially you have twin 3" exhausts which would be going to waste with those fatory dumps. You're system is only as strong as your weakest link, in your case, the only link being the dumps.

I posted some pics of the CES dumppipes on the N1 turbos I fitted to my bro's GTR. Search and you'll see them bolted on. But in terms of quality, they are the best. I have never seen something like them internally. They are smooth, no dags and flow very well. I have never seen HKS ones tough. Im pretty sure they must be good.
