32GTR crank vs 33GTR cranks

Hi peoples.

just like to know the diff between the 33 and the 32 GTR crankshafts.

apparently the 32 crank shaft is abit shit from the factroy and causes oil starvation

and the 33 cranks have been modified to counter this problem

that what i have heard..

can any1 share their knowledge?

From what I understand it is the cranks oil pump drive lug width that causes oil pump failures.

The 32's are too skinny.

so if i change my crank to 33 item does that mean my oil pump needs to be changed to 33 item?

nope it just engages more of the oil pump.

Also, it is possible to modify the standard 32 crank to have a wider engagement on the oil pump, a good machine shop should be able to do it.

hm..even though i had a strenthened crank and all

it spun a bearing due to the oil pump failure
