cracking sound in R32 when reverse/brake

Hey guys,

niggling little problem on my R32 Gts-t. When I reverse and put the brakes on you hear a metallic clanking sorta click that comes from the front of the car..

You can also sometimes hear a slight creak/click on first take off.

I guess this is a bush/bushes that need replacing. Anyone know which one? How much are the bushes on a R32 to replace?

I once had the same problem, not on a skyline though, but my problem was from hitting the kurb on front left. The bolt on my lower control arm was loose causing it to move around and crunch especially when reversing and turning the wheel. Mayb check your bolts aswell?? Just an idea.

Sure it's not the pads relocating in the calipers? I used to get that in my WRX.

my r32 did this before a changed the front brake pads, check to see if your brake pads need replacing

Pads and rotors are new

NRB: if that's the problem, how ist fixed? My Mark2 used to do it as well...

mines auto by the way,n how can i make it a louder beeping noise so people outside can hear? that would be kool:)

A) start your own thread!

B) Its a silver box up under your dash. rip it out or cut the wires. Why would you want other people to hear it? it sounds shit and its not a truck....

mechanic told me my bushes need replacing, but i dont have any noise like the one you mentioned
