Will my car run with bigger injectors?

I have an R34 GTT with the standard 330cc injectors. I have some 480cc Nismo ones to put in. I am running the stock ECU which has been chipped.

If I put the bigger injectors in, will my car run?

Will it start?

Will it run but foul the plugs?

Will I be able to drive it halfway across Sydney to get it tuned?

When I swapped my R32 GTSt injectors for GTR 440cc injectors mine started on the stock ecu, but ran meag rich as expected ( like a semi pulling away from the lights! )

Dunno if I'd be driving it with it like that to get it tuned though - maybe a good case for a tow truck

I take it the ecu hasn't been chipped to suit the new injectors? If it has, then I'd give it a go

Silly question but can't you just drive it to the tuner and put them in there?

I've never done anything like injectors before so I don't want to be pulling my car apart for 3 days in the carpark of the place that is doing the tuning. As you can probably tell, I'm also trying to save some dosh by doing it myself.

Anyone got any pointers for me?

slipping in some injectors should only take a hour or two max

So I take the top half of the plenum off... then what?

disconnect fuel supply first?

take fuel rail off?

do injectors just plop in or are they bolted in?

do I need to get new rubber o rings on the new injectors?

should they be lubed with something before putting them in?

reuse the same plenum gasket? is that the only gasket here?

take fuel rail off? yes only a couple of bolts

reuse the same plenum gasket? is that the only gasket here? re-use, try not to damage as they are f#$king expensive

For anyone reading this... Take the top half of the plenum off. Sounds so easy doesn't it? WELL IT'S NOT!

Haha. As well as the bolts that go around the outside of the plenum, there are 3 underneath. You need a thin socket (can't remember if they are 10 or 12mm) the kind that fits on a 1/4 or 3/8 inch drive. Your ordinary socket with half inch drive will not fit in there.

Don't even think about trying to pull the rail off without removing the top of the plenum, it might look like you just need to unbolt one more thing or remove one more hose to give you room but it will never happen for you.
