Sorry I shoud make myself clearer. What I'm asking for is more specifically which wire.... cos I don't have a multimeter (although I should get one) and cbf getting one. I don't want constant. I want only when the headlights are on.

The obvious answer is around the fuse I'm sure one of those wires would be good... anyone???

Pete/dAve - its a Greddy boost gauge.

just go but a test light, will allow you to find live wire when lights are on, only cost about $5

Yep that is the way. Open up your steering column and you can find the parker light comming from the stem that you use to turn the lights on and off with. Tap into that and you will get the desired effect.

all you have to do is pull out your dash light dimmer switch and "piggy back"/conect the power wire on the boost gauge to the red/supply wire on the back of the dimmer switch.

this way you can also dim the light on the boost gauge when you dim the dash lights. too easy
