Ok so typically 5,000kms for a change in oil and filter is a good idea.

But if the engine has been run under high load and at highish temps for 600kms, would you expect the oil to still be abel to prtect the engine if you were looking to go do a few qtr mile passes?

The K&N Oil Filter, Castrol Formula R 10-60 oil has done about 10 laps around Phillip Island, and about 20 laps of drifitng around Calder...all within the last 2-3 weeks. Thing is i wont have time tonight/tomorrow to dump the oil, as normally i would.

So have i always been mega cautious by changing the fluid prior to any event....surely an oil like Formula R isnt past its best after only 600kms and a few weeks of hard use?????

Thanks
