Lights / Highbeam Prob

Im guessing its a relay thing, but im not sure.

When i turn on my headlights the high beams automatically turn on. Irrespective of the high beam stalk orientation, ON/OFF, the high beams remain on including the blue dashboard light.

Obviously im pissing off a few road users.

So does it sound like a failed relay? Anyone else stumbled across this sort of problem before?

I think you will find you have a crook switch assembly , where the stalk goes in the steering cowling the contackts in there are stuffed .

yeah there could be something shorted in your switch if not then change the relays( they should click if working)

Relays are fine...looks like its the switch gear:(

temp fix, remove high beam lights. thats what i've done cept on my other car, its norm headlights dont work, unless on high beam, so @ nite im driving with highbeam on, just no highbeam bulbs in the car.
