i made 138.75 rwkw, on my cefiro, RB20DET with POD, FMIC, 3in zorst hi-flow cat. @ 6psi, with 125000kms

I didnt think it was possible to run your car on lower than stock boost I know the with the 32 stock boost is 7psi Id say that would be the same with the ceffy as they both use the RB20 aswell so how do you run 6psi?

r32 stock boost is actualy 10psi.. 33's stock boost is 6-7psi how ever the actuators from both turbos fit each other soooo if it is running 6psi i'd say its possible either got a rb25 turbo on it or its for a rb25 actuator on the rb20 turbo... and yer bump your boost up to about 10.. 6psi in mine feels shithouse :) good on fuel economy tho i guess and boost level doesnt matter when not running around or playing so either way

nah.. they all run 10psi stock.. including mine. I think the ceffys run slightly lower boost stock out of the factory for some reason.

I'm about to embark on full exhaust, rb25 turbo, fmic, and probably S-AFC.. Should be interesting to see how it goes, especially with an ...auto  (until that gets munced)

250rwhp is about 185rwkw.. so that seems to be expected. 250rwHP always sounds a bit more impressive - even though its just smoke and mirrors  Standard RB20 turbo you can get around 160rwkw.. add in the rb25 turbo and you gain another 20-30 at the wheels.

boosted_32: back to your original question.. I reckon around 300rwhp (220-230rwkw).

Whatever the stock boost is that is what i was running, it may be 7psi, my boost gauge says 0.5bar, so whatever that is in PSI that is what i am running.

with ur rb20det in ur silvia,wot gearbox,tail shaft n diff r u using???

i made 127rwkw 89' 32gtst auto with k&n pod,2 1/2 cat back exhaust 3" tip 10psi

wots that in hp???

is it good? decent? or throw away?

gearbox == r32 gtst 5speed, tailshaft== something that fits... (previous owner did conversion)... the diff is a bit of a unknown either way.. its locked 99% of the time /

127rwkw is around 170rwhp thats not to bad for your mods considering thats pritty much stock.. you'd get better horsepower out of a 3inch mandrel bend turbo back exhaust 10psi is factory... front mount intercooler and also a solid intake pipe (turbo to afm)

and yer that should get you goin around the 160ish maybe a little bit more rwkw

Hi guys im just about to do a mild upgrade on my R32 skyline and would like some feedback.

MODS CAR ALREADY HAS:

3" exhaust with 3" s/s dump

Big 600x300x80 intercooler with 3" piping

electronic boost controller

BOV

POD

(Made 250rwhp @ 1bar with stock turbo)

Thanks

Hey boosted was this setup on a completly stock ecu without tunning or any fuel adjustments?

Do you think a tunned SAFC would make a power / fuel usage difference?

Also did you end up doing a 1/4 mile time with this setup, if so what did you get?

Anyone else please feel free too comment

Thanks

Hi mate with thoes mods I was using the stock ECU and stock fuel system. I wouldnt recommend the SAFC just beacuse it olny allows you to chang the air/fuel mixtures and it still cost you bout $300-400 for one of them Im getting my standard ECU remapped for $650 including dyno time that way you can change alot more settings then just your fuel/air. sorry mate have never run my car down the 1/4 mile

Cheers Wazz, i measured my exhaust again today n found its actually 3 1/2" cat-back to a 3" tip,i got it off another gtst at the same car yard i got mine, its mandrel bend, but dont know what brand(no brands on it) both cars are FRESH imports, anyhow my question.....where is 'STICK'??? im in sydney, noticed ur in cairns, does 'Stick' have a solid intake pipe n turbo back 2 cat exhaust n how much?

Boosted_32 about getting ur standard ecu remapped, is this place in sydney?

Stick is up here in cairns.. your better off tho just getting a pipe made up any place that does exhaust's and/or intercooler piping.. its not to hard if you have any mates that are boiler makers or do something in the metal industry and can tig/mig weld.. (tig is neater than mig.. i'd prefer tig) they can make it up shouldnt cost any more than 100 bux..

Thanks for the reply, i was thinking of the option simply to fit a ebc and have two settings on the SAFC for 12psi (daily) and 1BAR (drag).....

Im just curious as from your experience, you think that your air / fuel ratio was fine (not lear or rich) at 1BAR and below? And that you think that a SAFC wouldnt fine tune the air/ fuel ratio more and increase power?

I know the option of remapping would give you more flexivilty with timming etc for more power but if this setup can handle running on stock ecu wouldnt the ecu retard the timming anyway?

Yes you have a point by getting your ECU remaped you can only have it tuned to 1 setting, I dont know much about the SAFC im not sure if you can have 2 different settings or not but I had a mate running one of these and its was a bit of a bitch to tune and for the extra couple of hunderd to get the ECU remaped its well worth it especially if you are intending to upgrade your injectors you will then need to move to a programable ECU or get the stocko remaped anyway, for thoes basic mods my car Had the stock ECU worked fine and wasnt leaning out but any other mods such as turbo upgrade and running more boost I would definatley recommend the remapping of the ECU over the SAFC.
