yep suncorp dicked me around , went to commonwealth got unsecured personal loan they had no worries. Ps don't try suncorp for insurance they class every skyline the same eg. non turbo, gt-r, gt-t so you pay gt-r insurance on your gt-t. idiots

most insurance companies are like that. they dont care if its turbo or not. its an import and because of this they have to assume the following

* it will be stolen easier

* parts will be harder to get

* more than likely to be written off

this is due to a few reasons i think the main one being it wasnt built to australian standards even though

* its been complianced to meet adr standards

* japanese (assuming its a jap import) are much more strict the aus standards

so they have to assume the worst case scenario. a lot of people believe thier insurance is going to be $1500 cheaper cos they are getting a non turbo skyline when in actual fact its probably only $200 some dont even have different prices for non turbo vs turbo
