cams yes i have these - did not make a 'big' difference in peak power but more so in torque (100Nm)

pods yes i have these - would not make a 'big' difference in power though

what i am getting at is that the cams & pods cannot make the additional 120rwkw+ power difference

yeah, I don't think you can really compare the figures from two different dynos with any great level of accuracy. only really usefull to compare your own graphs, on the same dyno to get an idea of how you're going.

Paul, nice result with the SS mate. interesting that your old RS setup with no cams and 2.6l engine only made full boost at nearly 7000rpm. must make the new set-up seem a lot more fun to drive :P

What a load of crap, you don't gain 170rwhp going from awd to rwd

301rwkw by UAS???

CRD achieved 362awkw with my car - same turbo's & in fact similar setup.

as a comparison, this equates to 422rwkw!!!

...hmmm

maybe i have a "freak" engine (yeah right)

Marko.

Looks like he's saying rwkw to me? no mention of gearbox

yes I have to agree with Buster, would be a pretty poor driveline to be loosing 60kw just in switching from AWD to RWD. from my limited experience with my GTR and from observing others on the dyno i'd say the difference in a GTR between AWD and RWD on the same dyno is about 20-35kws.

Hi guys,

BU5TER:

its not 'a load of crap' that you lose up to 70kw from awd to rwd when a car is producing over 350awkw!

as Oz GTR02V added - with 300awkw you will lose 50kw from awd to rwd

formula for this:

the more power you make the more you will lose in the driveline, it is relative.

this is a fact guys!!!

i tend to take side with jim @ crd on this.

Marko.

whatever you believe is your choice...

what i write is from a professional that has been tuning gtrs for 15 yrs & is involved with international & national events, perhaps you should speak to crd if you have any further q's

i listen to experts & then relay feedback, how you choose to take this is entirely up to you...

marko.

I was in melb about 5 years ago and watched an R32 on a tafe dyno do 175kw @all 4 and then RWD did 210kw. CRD has done this before and I accept his statement as he has no reason or gain from bullshitting about it. The difference between his dyno is about 50kw between RWD and 4WD. Its a free country so make your own opinion and leave it at that.

no need for this negativity...

its sad that some of these informational threads people like reading such as myself turn into sour lemons :boohoo:

I promise you there are no sour lemons here  I just hate these informational threads being filled with bullsh!t to make one person look better then another or to bag a workshop that is a forum sponsor :(

Mate no one was making anyone look better than anyone else...it was all interesting comparative feedback. Hence this is the aim of this forum to view, compare, obtain advice etc. Its great seeing different results. I also did not view any negative criticism towards a particular workshop. No one was taking offence to anyone and everyone respected and congratulated OzGTR02V's results.

In fact your the first person that has initiated any form of bulls%it saying that peoples comments were a load of crap!!! and that its cool if you want to be a puppet....now if thats not insulting well I dont know what would be??

I have also been to many tuners hence getting advice from an expert such as Jim is not being a puppet but merely being sensible by obtaining truthful advice and not advice from their ar$e.

Anyway lets get off the sour lemon topic and back onto the topic of congratulating Oz GTR...great results mate...awesome you must be proud. :(

    • Wiring the car up today so will report back for anyone else that searches this in future.
    • The light comes on from low oil pressure. Not temp. Did you do a rebuild or just add an ecu etc?  What oil are you using and where are you getting the pressure reading from
    • So like the title says my 97 rs4v has a oil temp sensor but no triple gauges as it was originally factory navigation. My current setup is not using the factory oil pressure sensor as I'm running a link ecu and a real sensor.  I did leave the oil temp sensor in. So now as I was working on first start up and bleeding coolant I get the oil light on the dash faintly as the oil temp gets to about 60-70c. Oil pressure is 45psi at idle at the same time.  I'm wondering if the temp sender doing this?
    • Well it runs again!  This was a definite case of while I have it apart lol Everything except the body and interior has been restored, refinished, or replaced.  @socal_stagea is my IG if you're bored and want to see all the pics.
    • I already got plug and play Link ecu G4X. Main concern is that the de loom works on s1 motor or not? I already rewired injector and coils loom to suit my bosch injectors and bosch vag coil. I’m not running any Iacv. For cas running the nz wiring kit i bought the neo plug one so it suits the wiring but don’t know it works or it doesn’t matter they work the same on every motor. For wastegate solenoid do i need to wire straight from ecu? What can i do for iat sensor to work or same run from ecu? For Vct solenoid, right now i got s1 vct solenoid on motor so do i need to remove neo connector and add s1 connector to work? Any other thing i missed i need to do to make the motor working on de loom. Any different mechanism on neo vs s1?
