need help quick

i'm putting a fmic in to my r33 the cooler is fitted and the passenger side has got 3 inch piping connected to it the cooler and the outlet( bottom pipe of engine). my problem is that the bonnet or hood wont close because the 3inch pipe that runs accross the top of the fan.

im thinking of cutting the underneth of the hood to give it room to close. the pipe is allready sitting on the raidiater hose and cant go down any more. its my only problem!

is cutting the strenghtening bars underneath the hood ok or will that creat problems??

what else could i do to fix the problem??
