Tire's for Willobank Track

Hey guys,

The test and tune is not to far away i'm packing and getting ready ...

I need some good tires for willobank so i can get some decent traction. My car will be doing around 300rwkw's so i'm after some good ones.

Any places in brissy were i can get Nitto's or Slick's or good tire's for 17" rims?

Maybe ring a few tyre places in Brissy... But I'd seriously think about going to a 15" or 16" wheel if you're going to be running slicks...

If you want to remain street legal and stick with the 17" wheel, the Falken Azeni RT215 are a good compromise...

I have 15inch M/T slicks. And M/T front-runners. Came off a 10 sec car, only 5 runs. Slicks come on modified rims as well. $1200, let me know.

Doesn't even come with rims. I have four tires and four rims.

Were is brissy/goldcoast can i get these RT215's? I had a talk to the guys up here and they said its cheaper to get them direct from brissy, rather than 320per tire! - 255/40/17's

Aus Tyre n' wheel can supply.. price they quoted me was $240 a tyre.. I got em 2nd hand for about 1/2 that. That was only for 16's though.. So they aren't the cheapest, but they are a Falken dealer..

Any tyre shop should be able to get them... Obviously they will be cheaper at someone who deals with Falken a lot...

FWIW, I had the 235/45R17 RT215s, and when I lined them up against my Dunlop 255/40R17's the Falkens were "just" wider...

From memory, I paid $310 per tyre, but it was a while ago...

Were is Aus tire & wheel located? I don't know my way about bris/goldcoast:(
