any one know much about ECu eprom software =)???how it works??

hay guys i found somr eprom ecu software on the net the you can edit your ecus with

now its in english yes

and i opend it up and its all these number etc heheh =)

just wanted to know if any one uses this stuff and

how it works lol =)

ok now i do this sorta stuff in my job. you can't really just download the eprom program and just open it to edit some numbers and bobs your uncle. well u can't do it unless u know what each of the numbers mean, for that u have to be an expert in assembly programming etc. i'm not sure how the tuners reprogram their ecus for the right air fuel mixtures, but the method for programming micro controllers is the same for just about all applications. the program gets written in some programming language eg c/c++ , assembly etc, then gets "burnt" into chip by different methods, for this u will need special hardware anyways like a chip programmer which usually doesn't cost all that much. and thats it!! just pop the chip onto your circuit board and fire it up.

oh yeah i forgot to mention how hard it can be to test these bastards if u have bad programming skills such as myself.

heheh yea i thought so well the program seems to be in deciam and hexadeciam i have had some programing exeperince but its really not my thing =)
