Hey Duncan,

Had a quick search back through some of the post, I may be blind, but I didnt see anything about the Stagea. I'm assuming this will work for the Stagea aswell? How much front/rear bias can I achieve on it? Possible to get 0/100?

Cheers,

Chris

Hi AMS,

AFAIK these have not yet been used as a Stagea.

Sydneykid was going to give one a try but hasn't got back to me yet....

Anyway, if you want to be the guinea pig, get one, give it a try, we will refund in full if for some reason there is a problem.

So far it has been installed in:

R32 GTR

R43 GTS4

R33 GTR

R34 GTR

working properly in all cases :(

OK everyone, just a quick warning, there is only 1 more unit available until after xmas.....

3 others are being sent out this week

Hey Duncan,

im very interested in one of these but should have the funds after xmas. where is sydney are you located as i will need you to fit it and i want to use my radio buttons as i have an aftermarket deck and the buttons arnt getting used anyway. also how long after xmas will they be ready?

cheers

Hi Flyer, I'll post up in here after xmas once we have got some more units ready to go :( Not sure exactly when at this stage.

We can install it in either gladesville or kenthurst, or you can get pretty much any mechanic to do it if you are not confident. Its pretty easy though, even I can do it.

I will be after one Asap please Duncan. As soon as i decide how i want to install it

Cam someone post a pick of the switch system that hasent been used on the radio control please ...

A small problem in the GTR33, the colours on the wires don't match the instructions. So what should I substitute. I have black, brown(earth) red, yellow and blue.

that's very strange are you looking at the side of the plug that goes to the atessa computer? because the r33s that i have seen have the same colour code as the r32s

Mark, definitely the 5 pin plug/wires running into the G sensor unit as shown on the instructions. All wires are solid colour. The earth is unshielded and wraps around the wiring to earth on the G sensor chassis.

Quick question. Does anyone know whether the HKS Atessa Controller does full rear wheel drive? I know if can transfer as much torque as possible to the fronts but I don't know whether it can do 100% rear wheel drive. Thanks in advance for any help!

All sorted, too busy looking at the pics and not at the words so got myself sucked into chasing the G sensor cable from the plug, not the ATESSA computer cable.

Now for some wet weather but on setting 3 the torque guage jumps slightly as soon as I start to drive off.

I've read about 5 pages of this thread! go me!

but just on the topic about the hks and m's units..

there is actually another company, FIELD, i have one in my gtr.

which has two different dials for straight line and cornering,

which is pretty damn sensitive the dial lights up a red colour when its working in that section (cornering) or (straight)

but good work on something locally made. loves the way you've put it in them buttons!!

Hey justin, yeah i beleive it does. from memory of one in my mates car.

    • So, more pain. The FAST manifold is a little larger than the stocker. This is problematic because there really wasn't much clearance to begin with, so going from 'barely enough' well into 'no' is sad based on the external dimensions of the thing, even though where it bolts to the head is the same. Result is the fuel rails sit a good 25mm higher, and this is a bit of an issue with the wiring that runs behind the motor, and the fuel lines, and everything else. When pushing the manifold on, it required a huge amount of force to crush wiring looms to fit it, sensors like the MAP sensor are about 1mm from the firewall, and the FPR just has to bend ABS lines to be forced into place. After some brainstorming and some sad drinking, the loom for some reason ran from the grommet behind the ABS sensor, then to the driver side head, then back to the passenger side head. So all of this was pulled back and stripped, a few wires cut and rejoined, so that the 'branch' was now on the passenger side's head as below: Before you basically couldn't see anything behind the driver head. This is much improved! The MAP sensor is now pointing up (instead of at the firewall) Brackets have been made up for the rail. The rails are for a LS1, the manifold is designed around a LS2 as it's base. Which of course has slightly different bracketry and water pump clearance, hence the mods people need to do. Should be hopefully mounted tonight. I spent money on a new FPR that is slightly more compact than my Turbosmart FPR1200. The gauge has also been moved to the rail. There's also apparently an ORB to AN Union instead of the adapter, because the ~25mm of the current adapter is going to make the difference. Provided this all goes together and arrives today, it'll be the totally not stressful attempt to start it.
    • This seems like a pointless exercise. There is no E30 availability. Ongoing availability of E85 should not be assumed. Flex-fuel is the only sensible approach, so you can use E85 when and where you can get it, 98 when that's al you can get, and anything in between as you fill it up and drain it down. And if that means replacing the pumps, fitting a flex capable sensor/ECU/whatever has to be done to these Renault shitboxen, then.....so be it?
    • Sorry, I wasn't very clear.....just that the standard injectors are apparently good over 600rwhp/450rwkw which you won't get to on standard turbos anyway.....they are much better sized from factory than we are used to in RBs.
    • I'm not sure where you are, but United Terrey Hills has E85.
