An ADR is an Australian Design Rule for vehicle safety, emissions, theft prevention and fuel consumption labelling. A CD-ROM containing the ADRs and other related information is available from Vehicle Safety Standards for A$70.60 (ongoing subscription) or $23.55 for a one off CD. It can be ordered on line at www.dotars.gov.au/transreg/str_subscriptions.htm or by e-mail to [email protected]

Australian design rules for motor vehicles & trailers (3rd edition)

The cost for the ADR CD-ROM (2nd & 3rd edition) is $70.60 ($6.42 GST included) for the initial purchase, and includes postage and the first year’s subscription to an amendment service.

Overseas subscribers pay $AUD64.20 (tax-free).

(The 2nd edition refers to vehicles manufactured before 1989).

Renewal of ADR CD-ROM subscription and amendment service will cost $70.60 ($6.42 GST included) per year.

Overseas subscribers pay $AUD64.20 (tax-free).

The cost for a one-off CD-ROM without amendment service (2nd and 3rd edition) is $23.55 ($2.15 GST included).

Overseas subscribers pay $AUD21.40 (tax-free).

For overseas subscribers:

Payments must be made in Australian Dollars. If paying by cheque, please use International Cheque/International Draft, raised by your bank. We cannot accept personal or Company cheques.
