hey,

I was wondering if one of you fellow sau japan members would be able to help out an sau -wa member  im currently seraching for an safc II for my car; i have a buyer who can get me one (or bid on one) but they will charged me 10% on tottal cost plus there buyer in japan will charge him 10% so i will also have to pay that. now i dont really mind but if the item goes over my max bid then im out (my max bid isnt very high as i have to factor in other cost inc shipping/buyer fee etc etc)

So whats my point..? Well would one of you kind japan sau members like be my buyer :D basic u bid on the item for me (i will you max bid) once it is won i send u western union money transfer (i think its the best and safest way) then u get the item sent to you then you sent it to me

im guessing not alot of people will be up for doing such a thing as it is a timely process but if someone is plz pm me

thankyou michael

20% is bloody cheap. SAFC (new) yahoo prices are 27,900yen - so he's doing it for pretty much nothing (in my opinion). I charge a flat rate of 10,000 for just about anything I do (multiple units, okay) - not worth my time and effort otherwise. If he's charging you 20% on a 2nd hand unit - he's crazy (which is good for you).

The domestic freight is going to be around 1000yen or so.

Not sure of the weight - but, as an example, a 2kg package is going to cost around 4,500yen via standard airmail.

and, of course, there's always the chance of getting pinged for duty when it arrives...

Hey guys,

Im also VERY interested in doing the same although i'm after some new R34 GTR N1 turbo's. Would any one be keen on buying these and sending these to me? With funds transferred at your choice. There is a set on yahoo auctions now valued at 188,000 which is about the amount i'd like to pay :( I know there a little bit bigger and heavier than a SAFC or whatever so im prepared to pay what is required.

thanks

Jonathan

with 2nd hand parts - the mantra is always ノークレームノーリターン - so bear that in mind - people who buy things for you bear no responsibility for what you get

that said - I've had a fairly good experience with yahoo. A few things were a little more beat up than expected, and one product was totally wrong (16bit harness instead of 8 - for a pfc) - but all in all, not too bad. Still - it's far from risk free.

Lucien - Zac @ Slidewize Imports arranges a container regularly to Australia. His webpage also has some preset searches for the Yahoo Auctions which may help those who aren't up to scratch with their 日本語 :)

Vijay,

Yeah, I am aware of Slidewize but I don't like their fee structure: it seems uneccessarily complicated and is pricer than others.

I have no problems navigating Yahoo JP auctions. The worrying thing is I am beginning to recognise some of the characters (like Nismo's for instance) without the help of translation ;)

Really miffed.. I missed one of two items I really want: a Fujitsubo SuperTi for R32 GT-R :) :) :( Got snapped up within 24 hours before I could organise anything. DOH.

LW.
