Unfortunately you need a full cage to use them at CAMS events. Also a porrly setup car will turn a set of slicks to loops of useless rubber quicker than you can say "bank loan" (a necessity for the cost)

Jack, I can see why you are disappointed with that zero potential barge of yours. I heard it run some big numbers. Did you take it to Perth????

LOL, yeah mate, just got back last week... Those westies sure know how to pull big ones..... numbers that is....

All you guys that said R33 look ugly and are shit and so on should be ashamed of yourselves. How can you call yourself a skyline enthusiast when you dont like one of them. I like all skylines, even the dirtiest DR30 to the the latest V35.

I have owned both a R32 and R33 and they have there pros and cons, but Id safely say they iron each other out. R33 are common in comparison to say a Chaser, but I doubt they be more than 3000 R33s in Australia. People get them because for the money, there a bloody good value car which is fairly reliable and go fairly decently.

Nowadays, I see way more R32s going around, banged up cheapie GTSts and R32 GTRs are everywhere (especially where I live in the North suburbs) so those who own R32s and think there driving something exclusive, wake up.

Interesting opinions. All in all I think a car is what the owner makes it..

Honestly a lot of people don't know what they are missing until they drive it, but thats probably good..means they are satisfied with what they have...In a way I hope I never drive a lamborghini...I'll be screwed

GTS33SOM: 25k wont buy you a 33 GTR.

Its evident from your avatar picture of your car that pulling girls and looking cool is far more important to you than how your car drives. Thats good for you.

Saying a GTR is for people who cant drive is true.. people who arent very good drivers can jump behind the wheel of one and smoke your ass. That to me sounds like a pretty good car to buy. Imagine what a skilled driver can do with one?

Umm apearences can be decieving. My car has alot more engine mods (build) than you may think.

What makes my car looks like its made for picking up chicks? The wheels? well they were on the car and are for sale.

Also this is my 2nd R33. The first one 100_00091.jpg

never had females in mind.

If you cant find a R33 GTR for less than 30 grand you cant be looking to hard.

Anyone can buy a car and mod the shit out of it.

I'm sure I could build a hyundai excel up to be faster than your car. Is that a cool thing to do? no.

The main reason is resale value.

Lets be realistic for a second.. Sinking 10k of mods into a GTSt that you pay 25k for.. how much will you be able to sell this car after owning it for a couple of years? 17-18k? Maybe 20k if your really lucky?

Or with the 35k you could have bought an r33 GTR.. how much could you sell that same car after the same period of time? Hmmm.. probably 35k, but listing it at 30 would get rid of it pretty damn quickly.

Sure, the modified GTS-t may be faster or do cool burnouts, but I know which car would be more balanced and the more enjoyable steer.

How many GTR's have you driven anyway?

Dunno about the "more balance and enjoyable" bits, gtr are fast-fast cars but as a fun car a gts is more of a fun car, surely you can go harder and quicker in a gtr, but a boosted gts

is a hard car to beat for fun, just in case everyone ask have i driven or own a gtr, some of these are current and some are past cars 2xr32gtr one r33 gtr one r33gtst and rexes-audis-bmw-ferraris-lotus, of all the car I've driven , no awd has the same connection to the driver like a rwd, an AWD car can only dream of doing so.

I drivin a 32 GTR and I have been in a couple 33GTRs.

I never expected any GTRs owners to agree with me, I mean why would they? They bought a GTR for there own reasons just like I bought a GTST.

Who spends money on car and cares about the resale??

Basically everyones idea of 'fun' is different....sideways...fast and neat...its up to you..Be honest guys..I'm sure most of you think your own car is the best or has the potential to be the best and its good to see a hungry dedication to your car.. Discusssions like this will never be won by one car...each to their own and will always be..until you try something else and your thoughts change then again it starts...'my old car was good, but this one...'

etc etc...you know I'm right...I'll admit I have been guilty of it

Agreed :):D:D

But I do miss my white 33. No one picked on it :P jk

I'm confused, are people really trying to argue thier GTSt is better than a GTR?

which part? the RB25 vs RB26? The traction and handling of a GTR vs GTS?

Only advantage i can think of for GTS is the weight.

Have 5 different cars, one for every occasion. :(

FWD 4, RWD V8, RWD 6T, RWD 6TT, AWD 6TT. Fun for the whole family, just me and the wife ;)

[not a model of every bloody GTR Rick, you hog!!!:P]

    • GTSBoy on your suggestion on another thread I had a look at those injectors and ended up getting them because of the quality.  Got the expensive ones.
    • Hey guys been looking everywhere to try and find the correct gtr hood latch support part number but only found the first half and when I search with that number it sends me to an r34. The first part I found was 62515. If anyone could help me with the rest then I’d really appreciate it. Or if there’s some alternative hood latch support that would work even better cause I can’t find any for sale. (Searched on upgarage, partsouq, buyee, rhdjapan)
    • If you've only done the upper control arms on the rear, AND you have changed their length (by more than about 1mm) to set the camber you want, then you will definitely need/want to install traction arms also. Adjusting the camber arms on their own WILL introduce bump steer and make the car unpleasant to drive. Most owners have no idea that their car could behave infinitely better than what they put up with. I'm not entirely sure what the Stageas need, but I am thinking that unless you have massive front spring rates and pretty soft rear springs, you have waaaay too much rear bar. Oversteer city, in my estimation. Combined with possible excessive bump steer from maladjusted arms, that could be a recipe for nastiness. ATR43SS2 is not a highflow. It is an outright replacement turbo. It's a little bit bigger than the largest highflow profile that Tao does. Probably a solid 300rwkW turbo where the bigger highflows will be about 30-40rwkW less. Nevertheless, we're only talking about ~300 rwkW, which is well within the abilities of the stock ECu to run with a Nistune on board. I would do so without hesitation - and I will be doing so when I get my finger out and actually get the injectors and AFM installed. But, if you would prefer to drop a whole lot more money on the ECU side, then I suspect you're looking at Haltech. The Haltech fanbois here will all spout on about all the available engine protection you can have, that you can't have with the Nistune option. And they're right. But it doesn't really come for free either. You will spend more money on extra sensors and the like, plus the work to install them. If the engine was built and therefore represented a big investment to protect, then I'd say definitely do it. If you view the current (and forever into the future) shortage of replacement engines as something to prompt similar protection, then also, do it. If you see a destroyed RB25 as an opportunity to put in a Mercedes or other V12 (like I kinda do)... then your perception of the risk/reward might differ. These are good injectors. You can also get a "better" set of the same with more flow matching, for more $$. 1000cc is where you will want to be. You will need an R35 AFM and adapter tube if you want to stay with Nistuned stock ECU. Otherwise, if going Haltech, you can ignore. As for intercooler. Just about anything will do. You're only talking about ~300rwkW. Just put a big core in there. Be aware that return flows do add significant pressure drop and will cost power and will make the turbo work harder to achieve the same goals. If you can manage a proper crossflow, do it. I'm keeping my very good return flow because I'm only expecting to be in the ~250rwkW range, and will live with whatever outcome I get.
    • I have a heap that i have collected if you want some authentic ones still. Pm me if your interested!
