playing around with dipsticks

Im in the process of playing around with my spare rb20 to make it fit the zed. One thing that needs to be done is the dipstick assembly(the tube that goes into the block) needs to be relocated to the rear of the block.

My question is how do i get the tube out of the block?

Also,

There is a spare boss at the rear of the engine for the dipstick tube to go, does it require drilling or is it like a welsh plug?

ok

spare boss looks to have a brass plug in it which should come out with a few love taps, so just need to remove dipstick tube
