FMIC install - need to modify Reinforcement bar?

Hi,

I'm going to install my FMIC (universal one - 600x300x70) on my R33 and was just wondering how many had to get your reinforcment bar (metal bar that holds the front bar up) altered to have the cooler fitted. From what I have seen, not too many, just about all reinforcment bars (bottom section) had to be cut out. Any help would be great.

Also anyone know where i can buy 120 Degree Stainless steel bends? Online preferrably.

on a R32 GTS-t you don't need to modify it to make it fit but the reinforcement bar does cover about a third of the fmic.

Had to take an inch or so off the bottom of my support bar to get my cooler to fit on a GT-T.

Prolly best to post up what model your installing it into so ppl can shed more light for you

yes you need to cut it. Just get an angle grinder, and when you go to install it just mark where the cooler sits and start cutting the reinforcement - its a bit of trial and error until you make enough room but its pretty easy.

thats with that nismo spoiler right? dod you relocate the oil cooler and horns? from the looks of it the stock gtt bumper needs more than inch taken out to get a 600x300x75 FMIC to fit.
