Myth33
I'll be the first to say I no nothing about suspension..... anyhow I am buying this R34 4 Door and have inspected it...... It looks to me like it has been lowered but I have nothing to compare it too! Just wondering if some R34 owners or those for a keen eye for suspension could take a look at the attached pics for me and give me their opinions? Help is greatly appreciated..... One of the pics belowshows a flash of green through the wheel (is this after market suspenson? If so should I be concerned about anything? Firefrog
Smick looking dude! I love that lip kit, I'm almost tempted to get one for mine now! That looks about the same as my car, measure the distance between the guard and the rubber next time you see it, and I'll do likewise Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/70284-r34-owners-suspension-gurus-needed/#findComment-1298268 Share on other sites
n15m0
green is normally associated with TEINS suspension, but pretty hard to tell from the pics. If it is then thats a bonus! When u taking delivery...looks exactly like mine except the color! n15m0
u shouldn't be concerned if it is aftermarket suspension....i'd be glad to swap if you are Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/70284-r34-owners-suspension-gurus-needed/#findComment-1298276 Share on other sites
Myth33
green is normally associated with TEINS suspension Yeah I thought that the green colour wouldn't be a factory item in any of the suspension parts, so maybe like you said I might be lucky. Does anyone know exactly what that green thing is in the picture? (technical term, like is it the coils?) BTW Thanks for the nice comments on the car (its at compliance ATM then detailers, I'm told its mine in 2 weeks) Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/70284-r34-owners-suspension-gurus-needed/#findComment-1298299 Share on other sites
ed
The green thing should be the strut. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/70284-r34-owners-suspension-gurus-needed/#findComment-1298306 Share on other sites

Myth33
The green thing should be the strut. Ok great thanks for that! N15mo I got to see the car in the flesh a couple of days ago and took about 25 photos with my cyber-shot. Since then I've been going over everything again. Another question on this matter then, if the car is fitted with a better aftermarket suspension would the compliancers have any reason to take them off or exchange them etc? Better make sure I get everything I can, I asked to have my Xenons kept and they said that they have to change them for compliance, fair enough. But then I asked them If I could get them put into a box and given back to me and was told that they have to cut them out some how to replace them and they would be worthless? I dont know the truth in that but anyhow? n15m0
don't think suspension falls in that category so u should be safe...it'd probably cost them more to fit stock suspension back on...as for the xenons...if your dealer can't do it for you...let me know... Myth33
as for the xenons...if your dealer can't do it for you...let me know... yeah the compliance mob have to change them to Halogens and it sounds like I probably wont get the Xenons back either. Damn shame of you ask me. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/70284-r34-owners-suspension-gurus-needed/#findComment-1298386 Share on other sites
Abo Bob
They do have to change them to Halogens but cutting them out?!?!! That's bullshit. The xenons are your property and you are entitled to have them back in perfect condition. I think it is lowered a little. ed
I thought they had to destroy parts that have been replaced? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/70284-r34-owners-suspension-gurus-needed/#findComment-1298878 Share on other sites
