Installing autometer oil temp gauge

Hey guys,

I have done a search and their seems to be some info on fitting the oil gauge but it varies some people have said to fit it into the sump others have said that their is supposedly an area to put it near the oil filter.

Near the oil filter i would have thought would be more accurate and easier to setup but i cant find were the sensor is. Can anyone help out with advise/pictures of their setup.

I have a DEFI oil temp gauge which I have hooked up. What i needed to hook it up was a "Sandwhich plate" which actually goes between the block and the oil filter, and allows you to input both oil temp and pressure sensors.

Im not too sure if your Autometer one came with the brass coated sensor, but my Defi did, and all I needed was the Sanwhich plate so I could mount it.

Basically the sandwhich plate has a hole to allow you to screw in the brass sensor. Once the sensor is in, your pretty much sweet to go

hey dude yup that does help alot where abouts do you get the sandwhich plates from i will give autobarn, supercheap etc a call tomorrow hopefully they sell them.

I bought mine 2nd hand off the forums, however im pretty sure "Earls" makes them from memory...

They have a website, but im unsure of the link and price...
