Will rego plate fit on r32

can anyone tell me the width of the numberplate holder on the rear bar of a r32 gtr? Got polycarb private plates, but dont they're gonna fit.

ACT ones dont, I had the same thing, so i pushed the plate in between the reverse lights and cable tied it in there

but i think on oz spec R32 GTR's the plate will fit

I think OZ spec ones had their reverse lights (where the plate goes) removed, and the indicators (between the brake lights) turned into reverse lights.

If you want plates to fit without bending them, get the "USA" style plate as it's narrower.

Is it legal to cut the plate? Mine is currently bent, but I was planning on attacking it with the jigsaw this weekend to trim off the fat at each end.

There is probably some clause about damaging/defacing RTA plates though....?

Hey Rossco, they will fit but its a tight squeeze. I have the W.A slimlines that are 372mm wide (should be same as yours) and all i did was adjust the reverse lights a few mm and then it fitted in. Not 100% sure about polycarbonate as mine are aluminium.

The screw holes from the big jap plate matched up very close too.
