As you can see they can vary a lot depending on k's and condition .

Thats pure auction prices you have to add all the extras to that , like dereg , transport and wharf fees in Japan , shipping , customs and q.t. fees here as well as 10% import duty , 10% gst and $ 4 - 6 k for compliance , then your normal rego , ctp and stamp duty .

RiFT^[R]']how much is that in australia money?

It depends on when you buy , at the moment its around $1 aud = 82 jpy .

Working on that one car is $20378 and the other $13682 ..

By the time you get them in Australia and registered in your name ( including stamp duty ) , one car will be about ( depending on compliance cost say $5 k )

The 1.671 mil car will be about $35500-36000 .

The 1.122 mil about $27-28 k

Why waste you time importing when i can see a couple of good R34 here in australia for sale >>>>>>.http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=70376

Remember you cant get bank loan's on un-registered cars so you'd better have ALL the money to get it on the road, before you even think about going ex JAp.

that's bs, I got my 34 with a bank loan and got it imported from japan. About $22,000 was mine just for the car and add about i think it was 5 or 8000 for shipping, customs, gst, etc. Remeber they're a 35 - 40,000 dollar car and it nearly costs you the same price as the car to get it here and on the road.

Well Nsmo34 your a lucky man and probally cause your in QLD.

I have imported over 10 cars and some for other little punks and thier banks would never let them take out a loan on a car unless it had a REGO number. Dont shoot the messenger but that was the deal in SA. Im just making the guy aware that if he Buying O/S and is financing make sure the bank will cough up before he signs the paperwork.

I got a 2000 gt-t for 30k on road in australia.

auction sheet is clean as a whistle. And it is bayside blue a hard colour to get.

pretty stock, quick shift kit, suspension, is about it, no stereo.

Will let you know if i find any surprises in about a month or so.

check it out here (I bought it directly from a jap exporter, no aussie middle man)

tdawg >>>> Fair considering its got over a 110Km on the clock. are they going to let you keep the suspension after complience ? and what have they done with the xenon lights can you keep em or do you have to shell out for the holegens for compliance still.

Question but >>>> if they are an exporter who have they "quoted" to complience and is it a fixed price, i would be calling the complience people in Aust before you pay out Japan if its not a Aus based Jap exporter to be sure your " included " price has no surprises as you say.

Happy R34 ing and hope it all works out for ya !

Like the no wing thing looks good.

Dunno about there but you just get unsecured loans and its all good. That was with commonwealth and you would think they wouldn't change the rules for a different state

Maybe it was a Junior thing all these kids that went for these cars where 90% plus loand and under 21 so maybe the bank had "special " rules for them. Probally good idea as most of them sold them with in 12 months as they couldnt keep up the payments (mac 'ers cant be paying much ) ehehehe

what are you talking about mate? The car is mine when it hits the docks, I choose when to take it to compliance. I only take it there when it has no mods that need to be taken off to have it complianced.

the exporter hasnt quoted me anything.. all he does is tell you how much the car costs 1.4 million yen and you pay it and pay the FOB he has nothing to do with anything else.

organising compliance and import approval are what you do.

You are getting confused by what aussie import brokers do. They create a package and pretend they actually do something for you apart from make some calls and forward some emails. (all of which you can do yourself)

Each stage in the import process is simple it just requires time and money.

sorry to go off topic

I have no idea mate, I didnt even know there were two series, thats probably why mine is cheaper. Series two is probably in more demand.

his one was produced before august 2000. that why it retained the s1 look.

Very little diff between s 1 and s 2 in the r34 's .

tdawg not a bad looking car you have there , you have to make sure there is no accident history though . R grade cars are a lot cheaper but under the current law you cant comply them in australia .

Autos and 4 door cars are much cheaper ( there is very few 34 manuals in japan )

Here is an example of a R car .
