Rare R32 part!

morning all,

I was reading up the other day on a modded R32 GTS-t, and it mentioned something about a "quick response" ABS system that was highly sought after by R32 drivers, apparently appearing similar to the normal system aswell. Has anyone got this?, and how can i tell if its in my car! What are the benefits and if i was looking for it is it overly priced due to availability???

Yeha i read about this in HPI magazine from a while ago, i think it was on a purple r32 gtr, in one of the gtr specials. It didnt say much more than it was sought after and rare.

if you have it, then it will be located above the turbocharger heat shield on the rear corner of the passenger side

i thought that most R32's don't have ABS and that's why its sought after. the unit itself is just a good unit, thus the 'quick response' thing...

ohhhh, sorry, i though it was for a r32 gtr, not a gtst.

if the gtst's dont have abs, can you plug in a gtr unit?

some 32 gtst do have abs...

2 of my mates have them..

one is a gts4 and the other is a gtst (type m - i believe)

yeah i have a GTS-4 and it has the ABS unit above the turbocharger heat shield, but by the way they worded it in the magazine it sounded like it was different to the 'usual' ABS unit. i didnt know that some R32's came without it. so that must be it. yay for me that i have it i spose. and im thinking you would be able to adapt or plug in the unit as mine has it......but then again it does have a few similarities to the GTR that the GTS-t doesnt. so basically i have no idea. maybe i should shutup before looking too stupid...

I have a GTS4 and it has ABS. You can check by looking at the model number (blue plate under the bonnet) if it ends with something like AB (I think the B stands for ABS). There is a thread here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ht=Model+Number

if anyone wants an abs unit, i know of a workshop in melb that has it in a half-cut (well they did last time i went in jan)

the quick response abs thing on gtr's is a big pull.... I have had a really good look at the ABS on that purple GTR and the ABS is no different from any other r32 ABS I have ever seen!!!
