Holy shit!

All you lot live up this way??!?!?

I was beginning to think every ****ing 'line owner lived in Sydney!

j/k

I own the almost stock 33 you see in the avatar over yonder <-----

Bought only a few months ago now, and already cracked the front bar!!!

Yay me!

I'll come into town on Monday if others are gunna be around. Love to meet some of you guys. Faces to names etc etc.....

And Dave, where are you getting the FMIC installed at?

What sorta price?

Hey Ian,

Its a Greddy R-SPL (link) (but the R33 model, couldnt find a link to anyhting but R34 in my haste).

Getting it installed next wednesday at DenStoj Auto Centre, 8 Arnott St, Newcastle West. No idea on price, but wouldnt it imagine it to be too much as the piping is ready to be put on without any custom work needing to be done. Im also having some work done to my frontbar so why i couldnt get an approximate quote cost for ya.

Come in on monday, be good to meet ya. Just wish my f'kin car had the intercooler on by the weekend/Monday... oh well.

I live out near Uni - so if any of you fellas live near there then let me know, that way we can meet up and drive in there so we arrive at the same time.

Ill try get in by 3:30pm (largely variable on seediness).

I own a yellow R34 GTT....its off the road at the moment but VERY soon and I mean real soon she'll be back...and be a real TT hehe I so love my new 25/30's mmm im hanging to drive her again but with the 26 in here it should be interesting :)

There seems to be heaps of 33's in newy....

yeah , i used to live in newcastle, but when i go up to visit, only one skyline driver ever waved to me :D prob cause i have an old school 89 skyline ( to the left of your screen)! its still a skyline damn it ! ( i think the people that waved to me where in a maroon r33 on series 1 ,hunter street near the "mall")

you want to be sure you go the wharf road way to the foreshore on monday as i think they are having an Anzac parade in the "mall" or maybe it's on the weekend, anyways.

Hey ULOOOK,

Mine's late model wrx blue?

Whats the name of your blue?

Dramas', the workshop is booked out till next wednesday so the fmic won't be on by anzac day :D

Its apparently R34 blue with pearl in it cause i've had it resprayed.

Hello Dong  Hahahahaha!!!

Hey people. I'm in bris, origionally from newcastle, but i'm moving back there in a few months...YEAH!!!. I have a white R33 gtst with the usually bolt on mods, Front mount, BOV, K&N Air Filter and my little custom made internally wastegated GT30 - Witch mind you is the size of my head, and at 14psi it's making around 260rwkw.

I'm on the look out for a bright orange silvia that absolutly SMOKED my old soarer even at 25psi, i've been told that its got an RB26 with big work done but i still want another go.

See you lot soon hey.

I own a yellow R34 GTT....its off the road at the moment but VERY soon and I mean real soon she'll be back...and be a real TT hehe I so love my new 25/30's mmm im hanging to drive her again but with the 26 in here it should be interesting

A yellow r34 did you get a sterio or something at pro sound jesmond? Lucky you one of only a few in Newcatle to have a 34 but with the rb26 and 2530's that will be a beast. :P

Hey guys, having some problems with mis-firing lately.

This topic has people with exactly the same problem as me:

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32356&page=1&pp=25

Wondering if any of you guys could show me how to fix this cause im no backyard mechanic :D

i didnt realise there were that many ppl around newy with lines.... i wave to every line/import i see there, rarely get one back though.

ill be down on monday, is it ok if a mate brings his 180sx down?? it makes a respectable 244rwkw, with a few mods..

ill see most of you there....where are we meeting up again??? i couldnt see anywhere that we are going to catch up. hope the cops arent to bad on the weekend...it will be a slow cruise down.

cheers

Linton

I'm fron newcastle too. sooo many skylines here, which is good.

I am currently considering making a few mods to my R33. It's pretty much stock apart from exhaust and pod.

If anyone in newcastle has a few more mods more than mine, it would be great if they could take me for a spin. The reason being, i'm not sure whether I want to start modding it. If 25kw from say a powerfc only makes a small difference then I'm not sure whether I want to do it.

cheers

    • looking forward to your t56 swap man its a game changer if it works!
    • So, when are you trying the new GR86 or BRZ?
    • Uncle Duncan Yeap, FI Interchiller  Works well, normal IAT's cruising with the WTA only went from 50°c+ to 25-30°c with the interchiller  Before, when on it hard, the IAT would see 80-90°c, now, the highest has been was around 38°c IIRC IAT is measured under the blower hat I recommend it for the street or strip where your only on it hard for 10 or so seconds, but it wouldn't be efficient for sustained track use as it would heat soak from the AC turning off or whatever it does during WOT to protect the compressor It really needs the AC running for it to not heat soak and keep the WTA coolant chilled My WTA coolant temps when just cruising is around 2°c
    • Hey Mark...sorry to interrupt your career change to hair dressing... but...did you ever fit the interchiller to the commodore, and if so how was it? And, who made it?
    • I've been pondering this, I really enjoy the convertible thing, for me, it's like riding a motorbike, without all the issue of riding a motorbike, mainly, my old sore arthritic joints getting beaten up, and, being able to do it in shorts and a T-shirt and not needing a helmet and all the other gear required, especially like wearing jackets and pants in the summer, or needing 6 layers of cloths in the winter, or not having wet weather gear handy when your 100km away from home on the bike when it decides to start raining As for the hard top and its Coupe look, whilst I do lose all that open top feeling that I really enjoy, from my experience with the NB with a detachable hard top, the cabin is a much nicer place to be, the difference in noise for one, a hard top quietens down the interior, alot, with the soft top up or down it's pretty noisy, which, after 5 or so hours, can get tiring But, as you stated, the detachable hard top totally changes the look of the car, in a really good way, and for me, the look of a detachable hard top is so much better than the PRHT which looks more like a after thought with its weird bulbous rear roof line For me, the minimal effort of putting in on, or storing it after removing it, is well worth the time and effort for the look alone And yes, I'm sure the next owner will be grateful for it as well.......
