Hello all !

Just joined this huge family! I'm from Melbourne and looking into purchasing a R32 GTST... seeking for some advise here!

My budget is pretty tight, so just want to know more about them before choosing.

I'm having a problem in deciding a Audi A3 1.8 NON TURBO or a R32 GTST, I know this is a bit extreme, but yeah still thinking!

Hows the fuel in a R32 GTST ? so do they suck up a lot if I keep low RPM and try to stay away from the turbo if necessary? cause I'm looking for a daily ride...

and how many Ks these car can normally last ? and ofcourse it all depends on the previous driver, but in general ?

Thanks !

whats the point of buying a turbocharged car if you're intentionally going to try and keep it off boost? to save money on fuel? if you cant afford to keep/run the car, you cant afford to buy it!!! sorry if that sounds harsh, but its a bit silly to say you're going to "..stay away from the turbo.."

If your on a tight budget, the A3.

Sure it's no performer, but it'll really help your wallet. It's newer (lower odds of breaking down) and it's non turbo (more fuel efficient).

Then again, it's a german car, parts could be expensive.

They're like any other car they can be a peice of crap or a great ride.

Personally if yo're on a budget I wouldn't get either. Try a camry, barina or corolla. No joke. Skylines tend to be expensive.. and audi a3s I don't see being that cheap either.

Good luck either way though :spank:

hey thanks! but I just love cars and I rather not eat and get myself a nice decent ride!

A3s some are going for around $17k and for Skyline I'm after something around $12k mark.. so I can save up some for Mods...

So can someone tell me about the Fuel? I mean like a price for tank ? and will it last me 6-7 days only travelling back to Uni.. (15 minutes drive) and also weekend.

Hey man i'm in the same boat as you..

Before you do anything have a good read through this post.

Shows you the key points what to look at before buying:

I'm also wanting something around $12-15K but not really sure as yet what to get.

Hope this helps.
