even in an sms, i cringe everytime i see those two letters in that order surrounded by spaces. 'the' is ONLY ONE extra letter, just type it dammit.

Some of the posts are totally not legible. But meh, it's all good. A lot of the people that have anything important to say (fixes, suggestions) type, for the most part, legibly.

One thing that irks me though is the use or incorrect use of your, you're, their, there, and they're all over the damn internet.

In 10 years time I bet there won't be a correct or incorrect way to use any of them, and they'll all be interchangeable.

I've been known to incorrectly use your and you're but not because I don't know the difference, just because of the speed in which I type.

But I do agree with carlo...the grammatical standards around here are terrible! The post about the last stolen GTR...man, so hard to read, not to mention the guy who Puts A Capital Letter At The Beginning Of Every Word For Reasons I Don't Know Of. Or da friggin gansta rapa who fink he a nigga bitch.

Sad thing is as wilchy said, 10years time, no one will know how to use these words. Its not just on here...the whole corporate environment is full of people who don't know how to express themselves effectively. I'm constantly having to ask people to explain what they have written or typed simply because they are stupid...I mean dumb....I mean because they can't structure sentences to reflect the correct meaning.

I hate sms speak when done outside sms... but for those who think "da" should be written "the"... I'm one of those people who likes to use all 160 characters I get in a message, and as such, I type as much as I can then go through and abbreviate until I fit everything in.

What pisses me off even more is how people have a blatant disregard for punctuation... sms speak I can handle, I enjoy doing crytic word jumbles... but for the love of god break up youre sentences because its bloody annoying when people type like this hey what do you think?

I'm one of those people who likes to use all 160 characters I get in a message, and as such, I type as much as I can then go through and abbreviate until I fit everything in.

Say hello to Vodafone $500 capped plan ($79.95). Sometimes I use 165 characters and still it send, who cares when u basically have 2000 free sms/mth.
