Parking fines

Hello everyone,

Sorry for fussing about this issue but I will be glad to get some consolation or advise from someone.

I am actually getting real fustrated with receiving parking fines. For this month alone, I got fined by the City of Perth and the City of Subiaco coz I exceeded the time limit by awhile.

What will happen to me if I fail to payup?

You get more fines.

Eventually they will request your number plates to be returned to DOT.

I suggest paying the fine, get it over and done with.

I had this in West Perth - parking inspectors got to know my car ..... im well experienced in this What happens is you get a first notice, then a final notice with money added on ..... then it goes to the Department of Justice Registery and you get a fine from them with more money added on - then a final notice from them with more money added on ..... then they sispend your license until you pay it.

Yep! But you get a nice green letter in the mail from the City of Perth saying "Did you get a fine recently? Pay within the next 15minures to recieve free steak knives!"

<-- well, it reminded me of a poor commercial anyway.

Oh yeah, West Perth is a pain, they got to know my car and one time double-ticketed it in one day! (ugh!)

through my accumulation of parking fines i ended up becoming known to the local subi ranger and he advised me of some areas that get 'missed' by inspectors :headspin:

yeh i know the feeling

the only free parking near central tafe is 2hours and im usually there like all day long the inspectors know my car aswell, i got away without any fines for like six months then all of a sudden i got 3 in one week still worked out cheaper than paying the rip off $7 a day in the pay carpark

we hav learnt to out smart the inspectors now coz we check our cars for chalk marks every 2hours and swap car spots coz technically youve moved your car and they cant fine you then

and yeh no way out of council fines if its in a private car park u can get away without paying

Ha ha I used to make my own parking tickets while I was at Central Tafe on my computer and they never got me for it! Saved me lots of money on parking! But if you get caught you get fined for a) not having a ticket and B) displaying an altered ticket. Will cost you somewhere to the tune of $180 I think...

i bet u were a graphics student? only they wud know how 2 do that

and anyway cant they double fine you? i thought that if they give u a fine for being over an hour and they come bak an hour lata and ur still there they can fine u again and again??

No I wasn't a graphics student, just did them on the paint program that comes with Windows. Took forever just to get it to look perfect tho. I never heard about the double fine thing but I wouldn't be surprised about it.
