ahh the joys of being new to a forum! anywayz i also got a auto r32 gtst, can exactly comment on how they drive...cos i havent driven it yet!! (still sitting in the docks!)but that button is essentially the same as silvia s13's. in power mode the auto will hold its revs more, hence try and keep the engine on boost more = more power/acceraleration. hold mode has many mixed reasonings, buts its use is basically to stop your car wheelspinning when you take off from the lights. in hold mode the auto will start from second gear, not first, hence reduce wheelspin.

Snow/Hold mode. Makes you take off in 2nd, limits revs to a max of 4000rpm Before the change to the next gear.

Power - Allows the engine to rev out in all gears cleanly to redline if asked to before next gear change. For when you are driving enthusiasticly.

Also if you stomp it and its not in poswer mode, it may decide to go into powr mode anyway.

You can also quite easily manulay shift down with this auto box, and hold a gear through coners/roundabouts etc for maintaining better power/revs and not have it changeing up mid corner! (be warey)

that would depend on the condition of your auto box, it should change close to redline about 7000rpm, since redline is 7500 if i aint wrong??

just one query is downshifting a auto (ie going from d to 2 to deccerlerate) bad for the auto box?
