HKS Pod Filters - What oil?

I'm sure it's been asked before, but can anyone tell me what you should put on these after cleaning?

Also, what is the correct way to clean them?

You cannot wash them. They have to be replaced.

I think a light non-plastic/rubber corrosive oil would do, as in the finer filter products / O2 rush. Not real sure about the K&N stuff but it would probably work too.

Isn't the HKS pod a dry filter??

I think I red soem where K&H stuff needs reoiling with their oil products but I also thought HKS are Dry filter as some one mesioned above

They have a light coat of oil on them. Goes dry very quick though.

i know of 2 people that have the hks pods on there 300's & they oil there filters with belray foam filter oil just like i oil my uni-filters & o2 rush pod without any dramas! i know this because they borrow it from me! just go to your local bike shop and buy some ! i wash my filters out with kero then truck wash (ct18) & water then let it dry, then oil it, remembering that you can NEVER squeeze out to much oil!

dont oil it too much, AFM's do not like oil..

True. Especially GTR's as it stuffs up the AFM. Dealer blew 2 pistons and a turbo on mine. I suspect the air filter oil stuffed the AFM.

hi,

it is ok to run the HKS dry. i have the same one.

use degreaser to clean them and it should be fine.

they last a life time i think?!!!!

HKS filters filter about as much dirt as a rag placed over the AFM would. Get rid of it and buy an Apexi.
