To remove the rear seat you need to get INTO the car and sit with you back against the front seat......i find if you squat down and then push the seat base towards the rear of the car AND upwards at the same time it will come out quite easily. If yours is REALLY stuck then just grab a long screwdriver or jackhandle and pry the seat BACK and UP......

They are just metal prongs that go into the floor of the vehicle.

Once you have removed the base you will notice TWO bolts (near the bottom seatbelt mount) that hold the back rest in place, once they are onbolted you simply push the backrest UP, it will slide off 3 hooks.

Hope that helps.

CC: odds are your backrest is simply not attached on either side.......from the factory they need to have the base removed before the backrest..........sounds like the compliance guy forgot to fit a couple of bolts.

Hmm wouldn't suprise me with my car.

If you're ever taking a cef seat out in your travels and have a digicam handy please take me a photo so I know which part you mean
