Nick performance clutches NPC

Anyone got a clutch for a R33 gtst from Nick performance clutches NPC in Queensland?

I was after a new clutch for my R33 gtst, something to hold 200-250rwkw?

how much did you pay for a clutch off them?

just installed a nice exceedy clutch kit into my GTR - single plate, has 5 springs in the hub (as opposed to the stock 4) and drives very nice strong, but not on/off! cost me $550 for the full kit and new bearings / seals

I have dealt with Doug at NPC a fair bit, I had a Twin plate Exedy RB clutch rebuilt by him. Great guy to deal with and knows his stuff

NPC can build you a 250rwkw plus, single plate for approx $533.

Thay also build thier own twin and triple plates clutches from scratch

twin plate is about $1700 fully rebuildable

They have a few in GTR's with great results

will their twin plates handle the torque a rb30 produces? it has a neo head, t04z and aiming for 650rwhp. I know its rated 1000hp but its the torque that kills them

i wouldnt use their single plates. if u want a single go see jim berry. otherwise npc's twins are pretty good, although they dont like to be slipped

im going to use twin for sure. Just want to make sure they can handle the torque which is a whole different thing to power!

I had one build by ncp ages ago gave him horepwr reading and what i was using it for and bang cluch kit. Cost me $500 bucks but wih worth it he amount of driving i do

just had a single plate 5 puck ceramic fitted and happy with it. cost $650 easy enough to use for daily driving but still grabs like a bitch

never ever slipped and we actually fan the clutch often on motorkhanas!! as race use we have been getting the whole year out of it, which means over 180 launches from above 5000 rpm.

maybe a little more than you require though

i side-step mine at 9500rpm....no probs...grabs hard and gets me over the 60' in 1.41 secs!

this is in a 500AWKW 9 sec drag car.

no hint of slip yet.

Hey Pal - what brand ceramic did you get?

sorry for the late reply. dunno about the brand as it is a NPC ceramic single plate clutch, far as i know it is a modified R32 GTR clutch. had it in a few months now and ended up getting a billet flywheel as well. I can highly rate these clutches, lovely to use on both street and strip (just need better tyres now as they spin 1st and 2nd).
