Front pipe

Does putting a 3in front pipe on make any difference to the sound of the car??

I have a r33 with 3.5 hks super dragger from the cat back, no doubt it adds to performance?

umm jsikalias just got a front pipe on yes better performance, umm sound wasnt that much noticable when i was in there, sounds a little different coming on to boost

When I put a new dump pipe on my GT4 I got MASSIVE power gains and sounded heaps better... then again, the standard one on them with the yukkie cat was disgusting.

I'm about to get new piping on the GTR, will be interesting to see how that goes, even more power would be awesome :headspin:

yeah changing from stocker front and dump and a new cat (bonus) to 3" hiflow ones you get a better spool up noise, ive noticed when the turbo is cold as in youve just started driving its sounds really whinney then when its warm you can hear the spool up and really hear it wind up

I too have a 3.5" HKS super drager.

I ditched the cat (legal in nz) and put a 3" front pipe on (no one had 3.5" piping)

The changes were subtle but noticable. Quicker pickup, seemed to pick its arse up and move from the word 'go' quicker

A bit more top end pull

I dont think I got any more boost.

Plus the exhaust note wasnt as muffled. No where near as raspy as a 32t with an exhaut though

I can get a 3in front pipe in mild steel for $170 any good?

Also are they an easy fit?
