Ok so a strange question. How does the pollution gear on an R32 GTST work?

I have moved my cannister to the rear passenger corner of the car, and it still has a vacuum/boost signal from the inlet plenum and the line from the fuel tank.

I ask as on the weekend at the track my car seemed a little down on power, not much but a little. Then after 10 or so laps the engine went real flat. Scary moment for about 5 seconds until i realised engine was running ok, just over fuelling when i put the engine under load?!?!?!

So engine is way laggy, and barely makes boost, and kinda struggles to rev past 4,500rpm. No hard cut or anything, just struggles to rev any harder and blows black smoke and misses a bit...over fuellling????

So have checked all the intercooler pipes and they seem ok.Thinking it could somehow be ignition related i swapped the igniter...no go. A spark plug had a crack so in went new spart plugs. Its not coil packs as they are only 3 month old Splitfires.

I quick check of the BOV shows that it seems to be ok. No split hoses etc.

Under light throttle load as the turbo begins to spool, i think i can hear a woosh/boost leak. I also believe in the tooth fairy, so it could very well be my imagination. But it seems to be coming from just below the passenger windscreen, where i relocated the pollution gear.

So does this stuff have a check valve or something so its open under vacuum but seals under boost. Do they fail. Would a little leak from a 6mm hose cause these sort of boosting/runnign problems.

Anyone have any ideas. May have to take it to the mechanics on Tuesday if i cant get it sorted the next few days...just that i hate being a pain in the a55 by going to mechanics with these sort of dramas:(

I stripped all the IC piping off the car and it turned out there was a small split in one of the pipe joiners, which wasnt evident until you pulle don it and you saw the seam open up:(

So new hose joiner and i was back on my merry way...lol the silicon joiners are all ok, it was the token rubber joiner on the car..so throw them in the bing heap i say...
