cams/ cam gear

im plannin on gettin a set of 256 tomei poncams for rb25det series 2 ( is there much gain from getting the intake side or should i only bother with exhaust side

also i have a hks adjustable cam gear can this work with the poncams or would i need tomei ones?

My advice would be to sell the adjustable camshaft pulley, you won't need it. The Tomei 256 and 260 Poncams we have installed on RB25's were perfect without changing the exhaust camshaft timing. They are designed to work with the VVT, so loosing it by adding an adjustable inlet camshaft pulley would be a backward step.

sorry another question, the aim for power is around 350rwkw now would i need the cam gears once the bigger turbo is installed?

no. should be fine

stock head flows fine for 300rwkw, and money is better spent elsewhere.

when looking for 350rwkw then the cams are a wise idea indeed, and then they are worth thier money.
