Unfortunately I don't think so.

R34 GTR was always eligible for Nations Cup, and there was one prepared and raced for a couple of rounds back in 2002. As usual it weighed too much and didn't make enough power.

But, if you want to see skylines racing....there are 5 R32s running in the NSW state champs, next round is at Oran Park in June.

TV coverage please !!

you might have to get out to the track and watch in person. State Championships don't get much TV coverage. Speedweek cover some of the Marque Sports and Improved Production races though.

I know of one R32 GTR running in Improved Production in NSW, where are all the others running?

what are the power limitations on the nations cup?

danny, there is no nations cup anymore mate.

ferni, you would have to see if any of the NSW champ GTRs are racing in the VIC state champs rounds as well. have a look at the Vic Production car association website.

Yeah there are 3 GTRs in Combined Touring (Production Cars), and one in Improved Production

mm thanks for the corection. I'm not up with the latest terminology. what I call production cars is now combined touring, what I call sports cars is now called production sports cars...

either way, the next round will be sweet. how's the yellow machine coming along? we looking at a full assault in 06 now?

Kel senses a challenge here....... :)

You'll also see some good coverage of Skylines @ Targa on Trackside shortly, including a few guys active on the forums. Details to follow.

    • Ah yeah I forget we aren't talking about an RB.
    • Fellow ADHDer to fellow ADHDer; Don't chase that paint perfection. Paint the bumpers, and put them on.  Leave the respray for another day. Plus, no one is going to see those old areas above. Any spots of surface rust, give them a clean up, prime, then hit with a white paint just to protect them from rusting. Again, no one can see it.   #Mine hasn't been on the road since 2011 cause ADHD... I've slowly learned not to keep f**king with shit if I don't need to...
    • That would be interested if it's the case as seems like it would make the job a lot messier but subaru sells OEM gaskets so seems it might of had it.
    • Fuel tank is out. Looks pretty bloody good under (ie above) the fuel tank.  Amazing how good the factory e-coat holds up in the hidden areas.  No where near as much body deadener to get rid of as the front but still not looking forward to it!  Shit of a job.  I'm thinking I might grab a needle scaler and give that a go before I attack it with the angle grinder and wire wheel which is how I did the front 2/3's of the car.  Feels good to be working on the car again but who knows how long it will last!  Hopefully I can get it further forward than where it was prior to this last block of work when I decided to go back 10 steps further down the rabbit hole from where i already was! The problem is, I'm realising how hard it will be to repair and paint the bumpers, which cannot be put back on the car, and have a good paint match. There are also areas where it would be VERY hard to hide the new paint where it transitions from old paint. Like this- There is only one way to do that perfectly and I really dont want to have to do what that means I would have to do... 🤦‍♂️
    • Pretty sure the factory assembly doesn't have any gasket at all, just RTV.
