Help to clear a defect!

Hey Guys,

Driving along Spingvale rd this evening just after midnight, when a highway patrol officer, pulled me over. To cut a long story short, swollowed my pride, and was as courteous as I could be.

But $169 fine and defect later, I'm now in need of a stock R33 GTST cat back exhaust. Does anyone have one for sale in Melbourne, as I need to clear the defect like in two weeks.

I've posted this in the Wanted section, tho, I call on my Victorian colleagues to help me out.

Springvale rd is long... which section?

do a search in the vic section for "defect" youll find dozens of threads from people who have been defected, most of them asking the same stuff, where to get parts, how much to have them swapped, is my engine bay looking ok, etc, those sorts of questions. failing that check out the for sale section see if you can "borrow" from someone who is selling a stock item. also last resort you could try justjap, upimports, jap wreckers etc for a stocker model. you should be able to borrow / find one easily

what else is non compliant on your? changed bov? dead cat? boost controller? guages or anything? tyres ok? brakes?

Paulr33. Thanks for your feedback. I have done several searches across multiple forums, just being proactive and also asking out for any help.

But yes, valid point in making sure everything is ok. The officer last night, stated that I was co-operative, so don't have to go for a roadworthy, but basically aside from the exhaust, everything else is stock anyway!

As for where in Springvale rd. Between whitehorse and canterbury I think........ I believe it was the infamous one....... that has often been bantered around here in these forums. *sigh*

He wasn't from Doncaster TMU was he? Last time I got defected near there the cop was really nice (apart from giving me a defect that is, which I deserved)... no fine though no roadworthy either
