I HAVE $8000 to spend - LOOKING FOR BASIC CAR - NOT INTERESTED IN MODDING AT THIS STAGE!

I'm really interested in buying a Nissan Silvia or something in the range of "sports car" - The RX7 interests me but it kills in the petrol department so count that one out - OH and I'm in Perth -

If anyone knows where else to look besides; Carsguide, autotrader, drive and here or can give me any tips on choice of car then please do!!

Anyway, if you are considering the R31, check the For Sale section at http://www.r31skylineclub.com . There will be oz models that have been turbo'd for that price (or less) as well.

Um, I'm sure you already are, but you didn't mention it in your post - are you checking the Quokka as well?

Also, check the import websites. They seem to deal with Skylines a lot more than any other car, but are still worth looking at.
