that sucks ben mate :D

I hate it when cops think they can just do wat they want and harrass ppl when they could actually be out there BUSTING criminals instead of wasting time on NOTHING incidents!

They must give u their badge number , as they didnt give it to u i assume they knew they were in the wrong

thats bullshit, abo****e bullshit. but you shouldnt have taken off, i always wait for the cops to go first so they dont follow me again. but still.. i hate how they say random, its not random, why cant they just be honest and say "we just want to hassle you on your way home".

i hate cops.

Good story, stick it to em!

My best mate is a cop and he has stated that when his badge number is requested he must give it by law. Also i don't see how they can tell you to get back in your car as you were doing nothing wrong.

i like hasseling cops too (within reason)

i was once pulled over in a set up rbt unit, got my breath test and was waiting for the other to finish, then out of nowhere he asked for my licence, i said i a nice way "just like everybody was asked?" he just smirked and let me go.

ok.. i missed the first post, are they allowed to ask for your licence if its a rbt?!

They can ask for your licence when ever they want to... they are the law! But we can always refuse to show and cop the ream for being a smart arse!

Don't know what happened to Ben as I've come in too late, but last nite I was pulled over for a random breath test 5 doors up from my house as I was on my way home at 1am. He was travelling in the opposite direction, turned around and pulled me up.

I was polite, yet nervous. Asked if I had anything to drink (2 beers with dinner), asked for licence, did breath test, check P plates, checked tyre tread, looked at exhaust, looked at yellow headlight globes and checked rego label. Asked about car in general, I just replied it came from Japan that way, and he said have a good morning.

Only doing his job, and makes me feel safer knowing that he is patrolling the area.

yeah.. i agree! i like when the cops pull me over (when i'm not doing anything wrong!) cause then it just feels like they are watching over me!! i had a similar experience.. cop pulled me up just before i turned into my street.... he'd seen me do a right hand turn without indicating... (i was the only one on the road, except for a what i didn't know was a cop car about 100m away in the oncoming lane!) he chased after me! lol! lucky for me i was doing 50 as i was cooling the car down.. but the guy was cool... just asked the same questions as above and sent me on my merry way

Number one rule, if you are pulled over you DO NOT get out and immediately approach the police car with a WTF???11 attitude, that will only land you in more hot water.
