Greddy Timeing belt

i've just replaced my timing belt with a GReddy one.

I've noticed a wierd abnormal sound ("winding.whooing"), coming from that area.. i was told it could be the new timing belt making the noise.. is anyone using or know of an aftermarket belt that would be able to tell me if that's normal or not?

ive just recieved my greddy heavy duty timing belt so ill be interested on feedback too

i think the same thing happend to phat32 when he installed a normal timing belt on his r32 gtr

mabe its got somethin to do with the way its put on?

I'm having my Greddy heavy duty belt installed next week, so some feedback would be good. Although I'm pretty sure new belts sometimes make some noise for a short time & it's nothing to worry about.

When I put a new timing belt on my car it made a noise for a while as well

After a while the noise quietened down a lot

I just did a gates Raceing belt on my r33 and had the same thing

I had to pull it back apart and re set the Tension. the belt it just got tighter when the car got hot it has been all good for 2 weeks now

Changed my timing belt few weeks back and was making that noise as well. found out it was little too tight, so loosen it a bit and the noise disappeared

sweet, thanks for the replies.. i've loosend the tension already but its still bizzin.. quieter though, but i have a feeling its gon` go louder. hope its the same noise youse are talkin bout and it'll just fade away.

hey man ya i just did a gates racing one mad the same noise

took it apart and reset the belt tension.

i think you will fnd its too tight.
