Advantage of going 3lt

whats the advantage of using the 3lt block with lets say with a rb26 or a rb25 head? other than being 3lt's is there really any point? as it is quite possible to make the same power on a rb26 or rb25. For example the R13, with 410hp+ rear wheel power.

All other things being equal, more cubes equals more power, and usually more torque too. This is a very good thing in a street car, and also doesn't hurt full-on race cars either

One of the major benefits is that the extra capacity will cause your turbo to spool faster, so if your running a large laggy turbo then you will reduce the lag.

Another benefit, in the case of the OS Giken 3-litre, is that it is a square engine, that is the bore and stroke are the same, therefore you will not have to rev the car as hard to make good power.

It's not cheap, even using the RB30 bottom end, and unless your building a drag car not worth the money you would spend.

Anyone know the difference in weight between rb25 and rb30? Are they the same (just longer stroke?)
