Hi everyone,

Im so happy the other day when my supplier had a look at my new car for the first time. The sleeper is a total beast.

It looked to be a slightly modified car but when he popped the hood he found a massive top mount turbo that wasnt even on the engineers report!!

With all the mods we could expect 500bhp , we assume there must be bigger injectors and hopefully the internals are done.

Didnt expect this much power and now its gonna be a lot of work to bring it back to stock to get complied.

here are some of the mods i can see,

Apex intercooler with piping

hks pod with cold air induction

a garret top mount turbo of some kind

apex power fc and some other meter on dash (maybe air/fuel?)

full exhaust

aftermarket manifold

bigger injectors and maybe forgies

quickshifter

firm clutch of some kind

tien adjust suspension

black advan wheels

blitz boost controller

bov

and so much more...cant wait to see what else there is when it arrives!!!

The car seems professionally modified with the best gear, with all the mods i expect it to push in the high 200s kw at the rears :aroused:

Anyone driven or know of an R33 GTST with this sort of power? it was suppose to be my new daily driver LOL

11sec runs shouldnt be a prob right?

Anyone know what it would be worth around?you wouldnt beleive the price i bought it for.

Cant wait to get it and hopefully i can get it ready for adelaides next auto saloon.

pics!

i know of a certain white gtst, other sau memebrs here would know also, around adelaide that im sure is putting out this amount of power either close to it if not more, equiped with aftermarket forgies, pistons apparently istalled or supplied by jun. It also was an import.

Matt's R33 has 299rwkw, I think Clints is about the same, and Joels's R32 will certainly exceed that when finally tuned, David's R33 has around 260rwkw, etc etc. There are plenty of others around too. The trouble you will have is traction. I think Matt with 299rwkw has only done a 12.2x run so far, as he can't get the power down. Sounds like a beast - nice buy! Sorry to tell you though, you will be looking at an easy $2,000 to stock it out for Regency then get your goodies put back on :D The prices for any performance workshop to even touch your car will blow your mind.

Yes, there are handful of skylines, gtst, with big horsepowers. Im sure the distinct white gtst im refferring to puts out more than 300rwks'. btw, aint clints and joels both rb30's?

In regards to regency, nightcrawlers on the money when he's referring to getting your car actually on the road. It can be a long and frustrating journey if heavily modified which seems to be the case indicated by the mods you listed. But than again each import is inspected differently.

yes i bought it so cheap you couldnt even import a stock auto at that price, i have calculated the cost to take mods off then put it back on. Mine is also white, its a total stock looker on the outside.

I already bought R34 GTR wheels for it and full GTR kit. If i have cash ill do a pearl gold, pink or some other funky colour paint job over it. Hopefully it will arrive on the 11th may but people will see a lot of this car in the city, ill definately make it stand out since there are too many skylines around. heres a couple of pics, oh anyone by anychance have any idea what turbo it could be(i know its hard to c)? Supplier said its a garret though...

Clints is a rb25 with 26 internals. It is very nice and already pushing ~340rwkw.

Darrens (Bl4ck32's) and mine are rb30det's.

I will be pushing upwards of 300rwkw and darrens should be some where around the 350rkw mark.

Definitely some hipowered GTST's getting around, or soon to be getting around. :)

Mine with the stock RB20DET turbo on 9psi made 175rwkw with a small peak to 176rwkw, I consider it to be 175rwkw.

It makes this at ~4400rpm and is held flat until ~4900rpm where power drops of dramatically due to the small crappy turbo. :)

I found it interestering how and where it made power, quite happy with the results.

The problem is it feels a little like a turbo diesel the way power is made then drops off. :)

Prolly seen a fair bit of action, but maybe a rebuild down the track and you will have one hell of a car.

I'd say you got a good deal but I don't know what you paid for it?

Keep us updated on the car, I'm keen to know how it turns out and exactly what the car comes with.

car was about 5k, im expecting to do a rebuild hence the price i bought it for but cant plan what iam exactly going to do as i havent seen the car myself yet.

WOW, 350kw atw is crazy....only about 630bhp!!! more power than a V8 supercar LOL

My R32 gts with a RB30DET is making 290 RWKW using stock bottom end and stock cams.

Traction is definately a problem with even slightly worn tyres, brand new tyres improve the grip heaps.

Joel,- What turbo is clint using on his RB25 to make 340 rwkw, how much boost??

    • Personal experience. Those f**kers burn. And are actually a PITA to put out. Next time I walk down the back, I'll snap a photo of what the inside of the bonnet looks like when that thing ignites. PS, powder fire extinguishers are useless on that stuff too as it's fibrous and when it ignites, it starts to pull apart. And you end up just blowing powder through a sieve effectively.   Like the big thing is, if it's fire resistant, it's job is to stop what burning? The METAL above it? It's just to try keep heat off the bonnet paint work.
    • Oh man, sorry, $60.00000000... 😛
    • That's more or less what he meant. What it really means is that you do not have to go full crazy on the build. Don't need the best oil pump, expensive rods & pistons, big cams, etc. You can upgrade whatever you want instead of using stock level items, but you don't have to. Having said that - any time an RB is opened up, if anything is getting replaced, I think the opportunity should be taken to do all the sensible upgrades. Pistons, rods, pump, etc.
    • February update 🙂 We managed to get the very last 1/18th "Extra Scale" cars stock available from bookstores in Kyoto. These are actually the last ones and will not be restocked again! Hachette Collections Japan have not decided on a release date for these or other models in the series, so for the time being these are all there are available new.  These are showing up on Yahoo auctions at inflated prices already (especially the Celica and NSX) so get yours now at a very reasonable price before they disappear!
