Hey ppls.

Two rants in one day. Looks like I have a little bit of time on my hands.

What is it with people in carparks? Do they just forget that they are driving a car and leave their brain in the back seat?

So many times, I see people backing out without looking (and my old car has been hit by one of these people before), or pulling right up behind somebody while they back out, so they can't get out in one go and hand to reverse a second time to turn enough.

Or there's the stupid act of going the wrong way up the carpark and then getting shitty at people who point it out!

But my personal favorites (read PET HATE) is people who park in the disabled or parents with prams car parks and aren't either!

ARGH.

Anyway,

End Rant

BASS OUT

As a parent, those 'Parents with prams' parks are gold. Having to push one kiddo and walk the other across rows of parks just to a CRX in the pram spot is irritating to say the least.

It seems that a lot of people operate within their own universe where their life is completely independent from the rest of society and free from consequence. Like when you're walking through the shopping centre shoulder to shoulder and some schmuck stops dead right in front of you cause he isn't sure if he wants Starbucks or Gloria Jeans.

I tend to get kinda smart with people like that cause they really give me the poos.

Usually say something along the lines of

"It's ok, you can stop where you like cause there's nobody ELSE in this shopping centre."

It's amusing at times cause you get some very weird looks from people, like they can't quite comprehend what you've just said.

People in car parks scare me though.

I've seen so many people, and unfortunetly mostly older men" who just reverse out into a car that's cruising around for parks.

They seem to think that just because they're in their car with the engine running and reverse lights on that EVERYBODY else has seen them.

Scares me alot too because I don't have a horn on my car either.

i feel your pain. try getting in and out of springy safeway car park when parents are pickin up their kids. double parkin everywhere, driving on the wrong side, speeding when theyve just picked up their kids even though theres a billion other kids walking around. but what really pisses me off is when you reverse out and even though theyre waiting for the line of cars to move they will intentionally block you off making you wait another 5mins before they move another 2 car spaces when they could have just let you reverse out in the first place. damn [EDIT]%#@*&%!! no probs with the younger drivers just the older parents.

with you on that parents wth prams parking.

following this mazda6 around in a packed car park for awhiles, my girlfriends sisters 1yr daughter with us, and the mazda6 takes the last of the parent parking (ok, so im no parent, but we got the baby+pram thing happening!), and im like !@#$!%%, but luckily another car in a normal spot got out just across the isle for which we parked in.

what do you know, out of the mazda6 is a 50yo man and a 30yo lady, no kid.. the lady at least recognised what had happened and gave small 'sorry' smiles and head down/away, while the old guy just walked off with his head up high and not a glance.

to make it better, we shared the lift with them, i really felt like saying something but whats the use.. a young hoon in a skyline telling off some old guy.. yeh.. i think he would really change his ways just for me..

shaun.

Scares me alot too because I don't have a horn on my car either.

Ian, there are 2 horns (aftermarket ones actually - very loud) in the box of random parts I put in the car. My mechanic took them off one day for some reason and I just never put them back on - but they should work just fine.

When I was younger I used to modify peoples cars when they were parked in the disabled zone, and the person getting out clearly wasn't... usually with a key.

Of course I have a bit better of an understanding of how much this (keys) sucks now, and would never do it again... however having worked in disabilities for 2 years I got pretty pissed with it.

But if I ever see a line in one of those spots, get ready for a flaming.
