MODIFIED CAR OWNERS BLAMED FOR PEOPLE GETTING SHOT!! ACA's slander goes to far :(

Recommended Posts

Yeah, its almost towards that sort of sweeping power, which can be dangerous in itself.

Again, I really wish people would focus on more important issues in society. There are many. If you've ever had somebody you know hooked on drugs, and have thrown their life away, or in fact have known people that have taken their own life - trivial things like a burnout late one night, or some guy going 10km/hr over an arbitary limit really doesn't phase you too much in the general scheme of things.

Simple solutions never tackle complex problems.

why do people make out like street drags are something new?

ffs my father and my uncles used to do it 20 years ago no one gave a shit back then

so did almost every big name in the modified car industry

where do you think PAC started racing rotaries????

so why all the hype now???

get your ***ing hand off it for once and stop playing the innocent little angel

like you've never broken the road rules. We all play up on the road and theres no denying it.

dont put shit on the lebs blowing up either because unless your an ethinic and you have been out through the shit that most of us have you dont know why we are all so fired up and against the cops.

why should we call them sir???

they work for us . protect and serve the public remeber.

our taxes pay their wages

they should have respect for us if they want to recieve respect in return

couldnt agree more:uh-huh:

Can someone upload the vid please, the link is down, i wanna see it.

And i agree, why the **** call them sir? They arent superior to us...? They are doing their job, we are all equal arent we...

Ok I am not sure if anyone has pointed this out yet (I had to put this in while I am still annoyed) but those guys being interviewed were wankers!!! It is not the cops that made modified car drivers look bad it was those freaks that couldn't keep their mouths shut. What kind of idiot tries to act tough and fight a cop? Whats worse is they had to show a skyline in the background, another shining moment for us. So thanks to ACA for picking the most idiotic modified car drivers they could find and thanks to the fools they interviewed for making us all look bad. No wonder we have a bad reputation. Now before some people try stick up for them let me say yes I agree cops are not alway innocent but the cops on the show seemed pretty resonable and the guys were just tools!!! Anyway thats my rant.

Someone said you don't know what the cops said. You really think they'd start something with all the cameras pointed on them? ACA doesn't always portray the cops as heros. Face facts, those guys were out of line. You don't have to give them the 'yes sir' line, but you don't have to act like a tool about it.

Anyways, i watched the follow up report, did anyone notice them mention Project Gotham on Xbox as having the rockies as a playable track? It was shown for like, 20 seconds. What did that have to do with anything...

hey 2GU UP 2

*** off get the *** out of here go home

mhihi.gif

thats a dog shot man :D

i still wanna hear wat the cop said to the guy to make him go "lets fight one on one" i can bet my life on it the cop started it with threats of violence.

the police and the courts have failed me too many times for me to even have any faith in the bullshit system in this country.

hmm.. just saw the clip... i really think the guys were just trying to act all tough and macho for the camera.. they probably didn't know that was how aca would portray them... *shrug* i wonder if they would have been quiet and sedate if the camera wasn't there, or would they have acted the same way!

I'm still in semi agreeance with 2GU UP and i wonder what the cops said or did when the camera wasn't rolling (or what was edited out), but they looked like they weren't trying to provoke any arguments... the bit at the end where they are singing and the window on the cop car goes up.. there are so many other ways that could have ended... it just looks like the cops maintain their cool quite well...

hahaha... and the girls... yeahhhh.... reminds me of fast and the furious :D

did anyone see aca tonight?!

Is it just me or mayb the police target these people caus they were complete f**k heads. The dude was saying the cop was trying to be a hero when he was clearly the one being the hero, piece of shit. No wonder why the public think import drivers are wankers.

If old McDonald did really have a farm then thats where these f**k heads came from and should go bak, they are the cops.

yea alright mate id love to see wat you would do if yu were put through shit like most of us have

oh yea walk away walk away when ur threatened to be belted sensless

come on champ open your eyes

2gu up 2, i would be pissed off but i wouldnt be a f**k like every single one of the diks were. You cant agree that the way those tossers were acting is ok, they were complete f**ks wish they did get bashed by cops for all i care. What do they expect all gathering their on a Sunday night at 10pm? If you did the same thing anywhere cops would be on your ass ready to mount and rape u. If they are going to gather their they can expect to get hassled especially if their acting like a piece of sh*t on the ground.

Anthony stop playing "victim" mate, even though your right, something could have been said by the cop to stir this guy up, but the cop wasnt behaving like a complete tool. He was pretty humble and kept his cool. Unlike some poeple around here...

My take is that the cops are not blaming modified car owners.

They are cracking down on certian groups of people that hang around a few select areas.

ACA are idiots, state the facts unambiguously.

Their story only made them look stupid by stating hoons this hoons that..

Oh look hoons shoot people. lol

In reality there are gangs of lebs 'hooning' around with guns hanging out their windows.

I think we all really know what the story was getting at.

Leb's hanging around in groups need to be split up to prevent any more shootings.

I say kick their arse, get them off our streets and in to buses or push bikes. :D

I understand not all 'lebs' are dicks like illustated.

The majority spoil it for the very small minority.

yea because he was on camera and he had no choice

yea because he was on camera and he had no choice

On camera he could have arrested that guy for threatening his safety or some charge like that.

The camera didn't save him, the cop probably gets it all the time and he decided he wasn't gonna bite.

This time the copper was the bigger man.

for anyone looking for the clips on non-waix and gotta luv how the media goes down hard on 'hoons'

anyone hear about the alliance group that asm, couple aftermarket mod companies and workshops are forming? some sort of lobby group? sounds good

    • Thanks for the reply mate. Well I really hope its a hose then not engine out job
    • But.... the reason I want to run a 60 weight is so at 125C it has the same viscosity as a 40 weight at 100C. That's the whole reason. If the viscosity changes that much to drop oil pressure from 73psi to 36psi then that's another reason I should be running an oil that mimics the 40 weight at 100C. I have datalogs from the dyno with the oil pressure hitting 73psi at full throttle/high RPM. At the dyno the oil temp was around 100-105C. The pump has a 70psi internal relief spring. It will never go/can't go above 70psi. The GM recommendation of 6psi per 1000rpm is well under that... The oil sensor for logging in LS's is at the valley plate at the back of  the block/rear of where the heads are near the firewall. It's also where the knock sensors are which are notable for 'false knock'. I'm hoping I just didn't have enough oil up top causing some chatter instead of rods being sad (big hopium/copium I know) LS's definitely heat up the oil more than RB's do, the stock vettes for example will hit 300F(150C) in a lap or two and happily track for years and years. This is the same oil cooler that I had when I was in RB land, being the Setrab 25 row oil cooler HEL thing. I did think about putting a fan in there to pull air out more, though I don't know if that will actually help in huge load situations with lots of speed. I think when I had the auto cooler. The leak is where the block runs to the oil cooler lines, the OEM/Dash oil pressure sender is connected at that junction and is what broke. I'm actually quite curious to see how much oil in total capacity is actually left in the engine. As it currently stands I'm waiting on that bush to adapt the sender to it. The sump is still full (?) of oil and the lines and accusump have been drained, but the filter and block are off. I suspect there's maybe less than 1/2 the total capacity there should be in there. I have noticed in the past that topping up oil has improved oil pressure, as reported by the dash sensor. This is all extremely sketchy hence wanting to get it sorted out lol.
    • I neglected to respond to this previously. Get it up to 100 psi, and then you'll be OK.
    • I agree with everything else, except (and I'm rethinking this as it wasn't setup how my brain first though) if the sensor is at the end of a hose which is how it has been recommended to isolate it from vibrations, then if that line had a small hole in, I could foresee potentially (not a fluid dynamic specialist) the ability for it to see a lower pressure at the sensor. But thinking through, said sensor was in the actual block, HOWEVER it was also the sensor itself that broke, so oil pressure may not have been fully reaching the sensor still. So I'm still in my same theory.   However, I 100% would be saying COOL THE OIL DOWN if it's at 125c. That would be an epic concern of mine.   Im now thinking as you did Brad that the knock detection is likely due to the bearings giving a bit more noise as pressure dropped away. Kinkstah, drop your oil, and get a sample of it (as you're draining it) and send it off for analysis.
    • I myself AM TOTALLY UNPREPARED TO BELIEVE that the load is higher on the track than on the dyno. If it is not happening on the dyno, I cannot see it happening on the track. The difference you are seeing is because it is hot on the track, and I am pretty sure your tuner is not belting the crap out of it on teh dyno when it starts to get hot. The only way that being hot on the track can lead to real ping, that I can think of, is if you are getting more oil (from mist in the inlet tract, or going up past the oil control rings) reducing the effective octane rating of the fuel and causing ping that way. Yeah, nah. Look at this graph which I will helpfully show you zoomed back in. As an engineer, I look at the difference in viscocity at (in your case, 125°C) and say "they're all the same number". Even though those lines are not completely collapsed down onto each other, the oil grades you are talking about (40, 50 and 60) are teh top three lines (150, 220 and 320) and as far as I am concerned, there is not enough difference between them at that temperature to be meaningful. The viscosity of 60 at 125°C is teh same as 40 at 100°C. You should not operate it under high load at high temperature. That is purely because the only way they can achieve their emissions numbers is with thin-arse oil in it, so they have to tell you to put thin oil in it for the street. They know that no-one can drive the car & engine hard enough on the street to reach the operating regime that demands the actual correct oil that the engine needs on the track. And so they tell you to put that oil in for the track. Find a way to get more air into it, or, more likely, out of it. Or add a water spray for when it's hot. Or something.   As to the leak --- a small leak that cannot cause near catastrophic volume loss in a few seconds cannot cause a low pressure condition in the engine. If the leak is large enough to drop oil pressure, then you will only get one or two shots at it before the sump is drained.
