Hi all

My RB25 turbo has commited suicide and was wondering if a vg30 turbo would be a worthwhile replacement? I assume it would be an upgrade considering the turbos of a 3l engine.

Is much involved fitting it?

Would i expect much of a power increase? Car has FM, FC all the usual mods.

I dunno about power.. but I wouldn't think it'd be an easy job to throw a VG30 into an engine bay of an R33... then again...

But the VG30 aren't all that reliable are they? I mean, there's probably more parts available for the RB25DET and the parts are probably cheaper.

he never said he wants to chuck a vg 30 into the skyline. he was asking about the turbo

a 300zx has two turbos, one will be to small for your skyline, also i am pretty sure they use a different dump pipe stud pattern

The turbo is of a single turbod 300

Not much of an upgrade that one... youd be better off hi-flowing an rb25 turbo!
