R33 GTRs?

Hey Guys,

I am sure somebody has asked this before but I can't find it.

What is the difference between an R33 GTR and a V-Spec? For arguments sake lets say Series I.

i know this has been answered many times before

BUt quickly -

Vspec has the attessa PRO computer, which samples at 1000 times per second as opposed to the standard GTR @ 20 times per second

Vspec has a finned diff cover

Vspec has different suspension which is 10mm lower

I think the front diff is active on the vspec (in that it can shift between left and right wheels up the front)

But thats really about it (in terms of the important differences)

Ok, so I would have to look for the diff cover and the computer to know for sure if the car is actually a Vspec.

you couldnt tell by the computer

Easiest way would be by the finned diff

Another way to tell is via the chassis number - verifying it against nissan FAST. That would probably be the biggest guarantee that its a vspec

I'm pretty sure that the VSPEC has bigger front calipers too...I think that they are 4 pot

nope on the 33 they are the same, GTR or VSPEC GTR. brembos front and rear.

The 32 had brembos on the VSPEC models and nissan brakes on the non vspecs

v-spec got better tractoin system and harder suspension,

also got A-LSD system(which you can find the light on the speedo)

also got finned diff,

V-spec and non V-spec use same brembos

it is the rear diff that is active - hence the A-LSD light that is on the dash (as mentioned above)

R33 GTR non vspec ATTESA checks 100times a second not 20

R33 GTR vspec ATTESA checks 1000times a second

Vspec suspension is a little stiffer and 10mm lower

Vspec has active LSD

Ohh and VSPECs have that little sticker ont he back of the car that says 'vspec'
