It all depends on how busted they are. If they are MEGA busted...there is some work involved.

I have all the crap to get 'em out and I don't have a problem doing it. I would just be doing some boring service otherwise. Might add some excitement to my day.

BTW people. I spoke to the boss about the trans flushes and he's going to work out something cheap. Stay posted.

Sounds like I will be comming to see you very soon. The next service is due on the car in about 500kms. I am sick of the performance shops prices and the lies I have been told... rant... but I won't go into it here. So yeh I will call you soon to line it up.

Thanks

Mike

PS. I may need to upgrade the turbo... oops I mean the turbo may need replacing (wink wink, well thats what I will tell the better half. jk's)

Free inspections of exhaust, suspension and brakes. Just don't ring up and say...I want a free inspection coz it gives us the shits... just ring and say you would like to have us check out your suspension or whatever. Ask for me if you like. I'll sort it out for you.

Sweet.. looks like I'll have to get my suspension checked out and also a quote on how to make it feel more tighter..... ;) what days do you usually work?

hey daniel,

any word on those trans service costs?

cheers,

Warren

Ok, well it doesn't exactly sound cheap to me but here goes.

Retail on the flush by itself is $249 and has a gauranteed 98% flush. Which basically means that it is gauranteed to remove at least 98% of the old fluid including the converter.

The trans kit you can buy aftermarket from Repco and costs about $50 as opposed to the $100 from Nissan. Usually we charge around $40 plus the cost of the kit to do a trans kit.

That comes to a total of about $339.

The boss said he would do the flush for $199 OR if YOU supply the trans kit the whole lot for $225. I don't really know if that's a decent price because I never pay retail for anything and I don't know what everyone else charges.

Labour will be charged out at $60 per hour as opposed to $77 per hour.

For things like some oils that are $12 per litre (gearbox) retail you would only pay around $8 per litre.

The trans flush is inclusive of fluid of course and just to clear up, if you walk in with the trans kit in your hand, we will fit it and do a full flush for $225. If you just want the flush done it will cost $199.

thanks mate,

i will assess the funds and get back to you

Did the timing belt plus cam and crank seals, service including engine, gearbox and diff oils for Crossie today. He supplied everything except the oil filter and it cost $270

It cost him $75 for the timing belt, $17.50 for the cam seals and $23 for the crank seal (all genuine), $45 for Motul turbolight 4100 5L, and $30 for 5L of EPX 80-90 gearbox and diff oil. Total of $460.50.

Minor service costs $89 including Semi Synthetic oil (Castrol FMX Magnatec 15/40) and oil filter (Z145A). Also includes full inspection of all components for service, brakes, exhaust, suspension, driveline, interior. We can also diagnose engine faults as we have a state of the art diagnostic scan tool and I also have a PLMS Nissan Consult.

If you wish to provide your own oil and filter the service is $59.

So far so good, have had a few members come to our workshop and they seem to be pleased. Hopefully we will see more of you guys in the future.

hey daniel,

with this trans service you have quoted us for $225, does a 'flush' mean you are running something through it? or is it just removal and replacement of fluid?

i am more after just replacement of fluid then change of filter and sump gasket. i spoke to my (old) mechanic when i was down in melb and he thought it might have included a treatment as well for that price...

if yes, then how much for just a fluid change?

cheers,

Warren

Treatment is usually about $25 and yes that did include a treatment.

which means that if you supply the kit I will charge you $200 to fit it and do a full flush. You can buy the kit from REPCO and it costs like $55 or somewhere around that price. Just gimme a call sometime tomorrow. I am acting manager ATM so anyone else want even more discount.....this week is the time to do it.

Hey ppl..Mega discounts available for another week while I'm managing. Still discount avail any other time as usual but I can do extra extra special discounts for everyone this week and next until they get a new manager to take over.
