exhaust cam not turning!

hey my car was spluttering on start and kept stalling and felt like it had no guts!

tried everything i knew to fix it but ended up going 2 mechanic afta bout 4 hours of looking round they noticed the timming on the exhaust cam was off by about 3 motches so the fixed that and ran it again and it went good for a while then stalled again! they opened it up and found that the exhaust cam wasnt turning! wat would stop the exhaust cam from turning? broken lifters or lots of gunk?

Your car would not be running at all if the exhaust cam was not turning, so one of two things has happened:

1) you have missunderstood the mechanic when they were explaining the problem, or

2) You have just discovered the worst mechanic in the world.

yeah exactly it shouldnt b running and he is possibly the worst mechanic in the world

i said is the tensioner rite as it could b slipping and he said yeah it fine so dont know wats up!

I'd pull the cam and rocker covers off at the very least to check it out

yeah shitter ripped it apart and itl looks like bearing 1 and 2 has seized! wats the best option rebuild the head or nu motor?
