Where is this "Sturt" alternative to Regency?

Working on getting a R32 GTR, can't decide whether to source one locally/interstate or import from Japan. But what I really want to know is, where is this "Sturt" place I keep hearing off, should I buy a GTR interstate and need to transfer to SA rego.

The police around the sturt area appear to be fairly good with the imports..

Not as nasty as the police up north or down south.

the cops at sturt are pretty good went in there to get a permit till regency and they spent the whole time given me shit bout my car not having big enough rims on it.(being that i was defected they where stock). but as fare as them being another regency the place next door is an inspection centre for stolen cars and trucks etc... they cant actually clear your defect.. as far as i know regency is still the only place

I can't remember exactly the km's from the CBD but if your car is defected for non-emmission reasons then you can get the defect cleared at your local police station.

Obviously BOV's, ECU's will be straight to regency.

If your car is not defected and you just bought it from interstate could you go down to sturt to get the Vin and chassis check done so that you can get SA rego?? As in car is not defected just need rego changed to SA??
